Stop sugar-coating with us underachieving in the CL this season with this talk about us having to grow and taking steps talk man. Our squad is way good enough to pass through the group stages. We failed. Our realistic targets would be reach the Quarters and hopefully some luck the Semi's. We didn't build on last seasons experience.
I've said before we seriously underachieved. I think this squad has the quality to go real far in the CL.

Hopefully winning the EL can fix their mentality and give them some more confidence.

Mourinho: “If Juventus were to win the Europa League it would not be a real success for me,” he told a Press conference.

“Because that it is a team that is built to win the Champions League.”

You have to agree with him 100%, yes we should win the Europa because it should be easy for us, but we shouldn't consider it a big success, if we were some mediocre team like what the el is for then yea it would be a big succes but we're not, we need to win the cl in the next 2 seasons
basically saying conte underachieved in europe which is true

fuck mourinho though

No point going back there. We're well aware that we underachieved in CL this year. Now we need to do the best with what's left. Bring this baby for the 4th time in Turin.

By the way, Lyon will have two games against PSG after clashes with Juve. I'm wondering what priorities did they choose. They need points in the league and other game will be the French's cup final.

Personally i think they going to give us an easy time in the EL. It aint a team that has a big squad rotation or something.

Lyon are going to give everything they have to get that 3rd place in Ligue 1.

I like Ranieri :snoop:

Of the coaches we had in Serie A since B and before Conte I liked him best. Seemed to have clear ideas and the respect of his players. Also afaik he did not want Diego here. Ah best of luck to you, tinkerman!

I do not agree with him. Thanks for his double edged compliment but no thanks.

I mean, of course we know we crashed out too early from the CL. We failed, hardcore. We know it. We are losers, but we can save some face still.

Winning an European Cup, even a 2nd tier one, is good for us right now. It gives us money, opens up the possibility of a super cup and maybe an intercontinental cup. If by some weird shid, we manage to win against the CL winners...it would be an even bigger propaganda for us.

Only CL winner can play that, nothing to do with Super Cup.

You get more money for getting to the r16 in cl then winning the final in the el, I think the winner gets around €5mil, so were barley getting any money from it, that's why most Italian clubs don't take it seriously, because there's no reason to waste all their resources on it because they'll barley get anything out of it

Good research. I can definitely see them having one eye on the PSG clashes. I assumed they'd be extremely keen on reaching 3rd place in Ligue 1.

We crashed out of the CL, and it was our own damn fault, as the individual form was bad, the mentality wasent up to the task, and our new strikers werent both there yet.
Then we had a crappy field.

We failed miserably, but we know why, and we can learn from this. We MUST learn from this. And we will.

So it would be nice if people start reminding us every damn time, and accept that we try to salvage what we can from this european season. It will also bring experience to our players.
