Looks like an intelligent bloke really.
It's from an earlier discussion we (Alen and I) had about the monkey chanting at the Liverpool-Robotnici match.

He explained that he wasn't surprised. Apparently they were doing it for the cameras as well.

true, but behind a 2 man team like 'pool?!
True, but those are an exceptional pair. That and we've been a little better than Juve in European competition over the last 5 years. So it's not surprising. It probably could be worse after last season.:D

You guys are taking it like a training session, your players trying out a few one twos and some link up play.

Looks like Hodgson indeed will go with Gerrard in a deeper position and J.Cole in the "hole". I know you were always calling for Gerrard to be played as a CM, but don't you think it will be a shame that you're compromising the Torres - Gerrard partnership, they had such good understanding.

Not really. I think Joe Cole can have the same understanding. Look how he's been linking up with Pacheco and N'Gog. I think Stevie will relish the position if he gets to link up with Cole and Torres and make the occasional run forward.

On another note, Kelly looks good at left back.

Everybody looked good out there today, the problem is the opposition :D

I think Pacheco could be a really good impact sub for you this year. He shouldn't be loaned out.

Also, does today mean that Hodgson will be sticking to the 4-4-1-1??

Our biggest problem has been our reliance on Gerrard and Torres. To be honest I don't know how soon Torres will be playing and how often. We've also got Jovanovic, Maxi, Kuyt, and Aquilani. The Hodge has acknowledged the need to rest him. So for right now, as the team stands, the best position is the way it was today. Granted if we get Defour or someone after the Mascherano deal goes through who knows.

Pacheco needs to be on the bench. Clever little player.

And I think Roy will stick with a 4-4-1-1, and occasionally play a 4-4-2.

I just hope Torres doesn't make it in time for the opener :xfinger:

Will be an interesting game that can go either way if Fernando isn't playing.

These are play-off entrants. Don't know about our coefficient, but I guess we can avoid all of them and get some team from 3rd qualifying round. If I'm wrong, then we should at least skip some of the top, from Porto to PSG.

Man City would be interesting, Krasic vs Dzeko
