So Hamburgers were knocked out, good. But certainly both Atletico and Fulham deserves respect while the former's manager (Kiki :D) has had his share of this new spirit and success they've been having while Roy Hudson has been showing that for two seasons now. One thing is for certain, It will surely be an interesting must-watch final.

Hopefully something like Liverpool-Alaves Uefa Cup final :touched:

sounds like another english team from a couple yrs back who also happened to meet a spanish side in the final! :eyebrows:
That's what I'm thinking. Middlesbrough were another plucky underdog, but Sevilla raped them. I don't think this Atletico are as good, but Aguero and Forlan could do them some damage on the big stage of the final.

He wouldn't leave Villa as it stands, especially for liverpool after the way they have behaved with him in the past....ie Gareth Barry.
That was a two-way street. Barry wanted to leave and yet MON forced him to stay by being an absolute cunt. I didn't think we handled the situation too well with the press barrage, but we had that happen with Xabi.

So the next season he sold Barry for an undercut fee to City. Who have no passed his Villa squad.

I wouldn't be so sure.

He was supposedly very close to resigning a few months ago.

He may be very close to the point with Villa where he feels he can't take them any further.

I am going to quote my die hard villa fan housemate

"the rumour he was going to resign came from a forum, which a newspaper took as fact and published because they had nothing going on, besides why would he leave when he has such a good relationship with Randy Lerner....he has denied leaving numerous times"

and on Barry

"we didnt sell him to liverpool was becuase he was so important, and because he was potentially going to a rival and they wanted a fee worthy to counter the possible implications, and they refused to pay it. The next season we got shot of him to man city because he only had a year left on his contract because they didnt want it all kicking off again, it remains the second highest fee villa have recieved for a player. The big issue was the way in which liverpool behaved leaking the story to the Liverpool Echo, which infuriated MON because that isnt how he behaves and essentially ruined any chance you had of signing him"

-end rant-

Barry was no where worth the 20 million. Should have take the 14-16 we offered. Instead you got stuck with a pissed off player with a year left on his contract. SO you sold him to shitty just to stick it to us.

PS. Forza Guzan, Freidel, and Lazac.
