The refs would favor Pool to the final against Manure. So its an easy/safe bet that they d lift the cup...
We ll have to get used to the all EPL finals for now and the next couple of years.
Only Real (well not this Real) and Barca are able to prevent this from happening.
But just one bad game and they are out...

Not our business anyway...we should build a team first, starting from next year, since this year we are signing Cassano...

UEFA and the Mayor of Rome have hit back at The Times’ demands to have the Champions League Final moved, calling London “the real Stab City.”

The newspaper launched the campaign and infuriated both Italian football figures and those in Europe’s leading body.

“The venue for the final will not be changed in any case," UEFA spokesman William Gaillard told the Gazzetta Dello Sport

"The English are never happy. They criticised the Moscow Final, the Istanbul Final, and now the Rome Final.

"We cannot play every Final at Wembley, and even if we did, they would still find something to shout and laugh about."

The Mayor of Rome has also hit back at the British complaints about the Stadio Olimpico’s safety record.

“The campaign against us is quite simply ungenerous and insulting,” slammed Gianni Alemanno in a letter written to the newspaper which had suggested Rome was ‘Stab City.’

“The choice of Rome for the Final was made by UEFA after long and careful consideration, something that was confirmed again today by secretary general David Taylor.

“I also wish to point out that by typing into Google the words ‘stabbed’ and ‘London’, you get 2.85m pages – 10 times what you get for Rome.

“That alone should prove beyond reasonable doubt how daft the affirmations in that article really are. After all, yesterday the city showed that for the Six Nations rugby match it can be very welcoming.

“My hope, as Mayor and citizen of Rome, is that one of the English sides still in the running for this trophy can reach the Final and by playing here show how unfounded your worries are.”

Actually we should play every Final at Wembley, why would we force 2 EPL teams to travel half a Europe's distance, only to play on more cup final...
The EPL team teams are doing us a favor for participating to this pitiful cup
and teach the rest of the Europe how football is played,
we ought to respect them more...

No matter how many Champions leagues they win, or how dominant they become, the one thing they will never have that is English is beautiful women.

Lighten up. Self-castigate yourself about your obsession with the appearance of some random guy who plays a sport for a living for a team you didn't almost randomly become attached to.
 I cannot agree more.

a fuck, chelsea liverpool again?! annoying draw tbh

dunno why people are writing arsenal off, bloody stupid if you ask me. Arsenal can beat any of the remaining teams on their day, and specifically they are one of the teams that will always give manure a run for their money

Now, in fairness, he has a right (and a responsibility) to defend his city, but I take issue with this.

Google searches:
stabbed London 1,690,000 results
stabbed Rome 692,000 results

stabbing London 1,310,000 results
stabbing Rome 656,000 results

population London 13,063,441 (metro area - it's about 7.5M for the city)
population Rome 2,724,347

I'd also like to point out that "stabbing" and "stabbed" are English words.

What I'm getting at here is that the stat quoted by the Mayor of Rome is (a) wrong and (b) retarded as a measure of anything anyway.

EDIT: This site gives crime figures for London. Anyone able to find an equivalent site for Rome? I have no Italian to go looking.

Well, congratulations to The Times. They just made people dislike English football even more.

And no matter what, even if they do have a glut of Champions League finals in England, it won't do anything for their own national team. Perhaps they should be focusing on moving an international tournament to Wembley as that's the only real chance their country would have in winning it... only if they also receive referee help, that is.

What's even worse than all this is that the comparison is wrong to begin with. The stabbing incidents in Roma have always been football related. Not so in London.

Having visited London recently and Rome fairly recently, I know which capital city I felt safer in.

Hint: The wasn't the one that begins in L and ends with ondon.

that's not the point, the point is which city is safer for a football match. big difference, since that's when the italians start stabbing :p
