Why didn't you highlight that bit?

A manager is more important than a captain. If a manager cannot motivate a group of players then there is something going wrong.
What are you talking about? You got owned. In what professional game have you see a manager yelling tactics across the pitch to each member of the squad?

Those hard cut drugs must be rotting you mate.

Is mediocre at the moment but has a great future. That said, he's probably better than Paro which means he's twice as good as Fabregas.:D

I will never cuss Gallas because he did a lot for my team. Arsenal are driving him crazy, I don't blame him for his actions.
He's driving us crazy. You know that anytime he could explode and start weeping. He's the one that needs taking care after not the youngsters.

That being said, he has been one of our best players ever since the turn of the season. Throughout 2009 he's been brilliant.

But fuck him anyway.

Ranieri to buffon during the chelsea game:

ranieri: HEY GIGI HEY GIGI

Buffon: WHAT?

Ranieri - we are playing a 4-3-3 and you're the goalkeeper

Owned how? His own text he used to back his point highlighted that captains have no special role and are basically there for the toin coss and flag exchange.

I have seen plenty of managers yelling at players and correcting tactical mistakes. You haven't?

Seriously the level of debate here is a bit poor all you have is "u got ownded!!!111!!!!1!1!!!"

BD answered for me. He didn't need to lead at Chelsea.
Nobody needed to lead at Chelsea other than Mourinho.

Terry, Essien, Drogba, Cech, Lampard, Gudjohnson etc are all men that don't need to be led other than to be told by a manager what tactics/formations they're using.

A captain does not lead a team only a manager does.

what's the point of arguing with this dude, anyone that doesn't understand the role of a captain is clearly an idiot or doesn't know anything about sport

Yes a captain is a super hero who actually runs the whole football club from head to toe!

Capatins are also the secretary and painter/decorator at the stadium. They also cuts the grass on their days off and sweeps the floor after every home game.

Captains are fantastic!

i still disagree about the lack of importance captains have

For instance just the presence of Del Piero on the pitch raises the game and performance of the other players does he not? , simply because they look up to him for inspiration.

Another example few years ago, we turned up to a game a man short, went into the game h/t 2-0 down As my debut as captain i inspired the men on and ended up winning 3-2 and played with a fractured toe. That was after the coach decided to abandon us at h/t and f*ck off home

Manager's do predominantly the tactical and training side of things, but mentally the captain is the one the players look up to

Typical Chelsea boy. Knows nothing about the sport and can only beat his head into the wall by saying captains don't play a part in the professional game when it's completely obvious they do.
