Teams like Hull in the Premiership or BATE in the CL is what makes football great.

Watching wee teams fucking over giants. It would be boring to endlessly watch massive teams playing each other.

How often when big teams play each other is it actually a good game? Almost never because the stakes are so high that both teams are more intent on not losing the game than trying to win the game.
Ie. Every Liverpool-Chelsea match for the last 4 years.

EXACTLY!

Because of the way the system is, Hull will never get a chance ti play in the C.L when if they continue at this pace, they surely deserve.

As for BATE, if you were referring to the 2-2 draw against Juve, that's not exactly impessive given that we were getting our asses handed to us by nearly every team we played against this month.

This would add value to the European Cup but it would detract value from the UEFA champions League. Look at who wins the Champions league anyway, Teams like Milan and Liverpool have been excellent in the C.L yet they finish 3rd and 4th in the league. Is it fair for them to play in UEFA?
Nottingham Forest have won as many European Cups as Barca, does that mean they deserve to play in the CL every year?

Each team has to meet qualifying criteria every year, otherwise it just isn't fair.

Sure if they don't finish high enough in their league. Here's a question for you.
Did last year's Milan team deserve a spot in the CL this year?
Not as much as La Viola or Juve but more than Basel. Even the disgusting atrocious Milan of last season would have won the Swiss league FFS.

Exactement.

Okay then, say UEFA decides to change the system of qualification so that the best 32 teams get in the CL every season, how do you do that?

How can you directly compare teams from a different league and say with certainty which is better?

Very true. But the fact of the matter is the competition is the Champions League not the Best Teams in Europe League. Basel won their league, they get in.

Qualifying is set up to weed out the weaker of the teams before the group stages. Small teams shouldn't be penalized because they get a good draw or because bigger teams fail to eliminate them.

That's my view as well.

I want to know how Juve Rev proposes to organise qualifiation so that the 32 best teams in Europe qualify, regardless of their league position in the previous season.

Right then.

Fuck the champions league.

There should be a new league called the European Elite league.

This is a league that features only the best. The most competitive teams will get in. This competition will be made up of 32 teams like the champions league.

Juve Red. You get in by simply qualifying. Only the first two of each respective league books a place in the European Elite League.

All the other teams in Europe fight it out to be part of the top 32. 22 places will be up for grabs. All teams will be enter qualification at different stages like the current rule. If your team has the proper funding and credibility, it may merit a chance for qualification.

Thus the creation of The European Elite League finally comes into practice.
No more boring thrashings, no more uncompetitive games where the superior team has the luxury of playing their reserve team, no more dullness. Every game is entertaining, every game carries value, every game carries a sense of passion.

So would it be literally every team in Europe in qualifying or just like teams 3-7 in big leagues and teams 2-4 in the smaller leagues?

I hope you will never ever become UEFA president. Michel Platini had this on his agenda but apparently he realized how ridiculous his idea was, or he was fought from other UEFA members who realize that such a league will destroy the basic concept of what football is.

Yes, why would those clubs that are not wealthy enough to buy top players ever get to play against the rich clubs, the "best clubs"... Kill, kill, kill the poor! :shifty:

Not practical, too many games. You couldn't fit it around domestic fixtures.

Literally every team in Europe. The notion is, if you are good enough, you play. Everyone is getting a chance here, but not in the same manner they get it now.

I hope you will never ever become UEFA president. Michel Platini had this on his agenda but apparently he realized how ridiculous his idea was, or he was fought from other UEFA members who realize that such a league will destroy the basic concept of what football is.
I don't want to be president of Uefa, I want to watch genuine entertaining football.

I say this as a fan, not as an organizer.

Yes, why would those clubs that are not wealthy enough to buy top players ever get to play against the rich clubs, the "best clubs"... Kill, kill, kill the poor! :shifty:
If they qualify the top 50, UEFA will subsidize them with money.

Not practical, too many games. You couldn't fit it around domestic fixtures.
The smaller teams that have to qualify will do so pre-season. Summer games could be held instead of mundane and pointless friendlies.

Can I name you the CEO of the "the weird dude that unsuccessfully tries to be funny with his insanely lame and meaningless ramarks" organization?
