Tymoshchuk tonight did nothing of the things you described. Some things are seen only by you.
ManUtd's midfield was a swiss cheese tonight but he couldn't pass there and he chose to attack from the only well defended side ? Evra's side ?
Is that what you're saying that happened tonight ?

I give up. The next thing you'll say is that the CBs will rape Molinaro.

I know that few years back Real wanted him. The price they were ready to offer was around 25m eur. Then Capello took over and he chose Diarra instead of Tymoshchuk.
Then Zenit stepped up and they bought him for "only" 15m euro.
It's rumoured that he's getting incredibly high wages in Zenit. Is that right ?
I do not know how many it receives in Zenith speak that have bought it for 21 mil dollars
It was the greatest purchase in Russia (up to Danni 30 ml)
It has justified this sum on 100 % It the greater person not simply player.
More all receives Arshavin 3 mil Euro in a year
:D

Well I guess its safe to say zenit are much better than last season, they can really put up a game during big matches. I was quite impressed with zyryanov, apart from the fact that he helped to create chances he seemed to have given scholes some grief at times. Pog, Danny and Tymo, some real names there to handle. I think what zenit are good at is playing second fiddle and at times trying to impose their influence on the game. Knowing how we usually play (laid back style)... i somehow, despite the result and performance, feel that we still beat them and maybe convincingly.

yes about the programme, theirs is easier, but this is the champions league we are talking about we should go out there and for 90 mins just think soley on putting our best into and then winning each game, the group stage is a short and brutal end for most teams, look at marsielle last year so close to getting through then they f'ed it up right at the end. Thats why every minuite we have will be decisive and invaluble. Now i'm not saying we should go kamikaze style all out attack but we musn't decide to be so consious about zenit attacking us, i'm sure we will respect them, why? because they have earned their respect by beating some of the best teams around.
Actually , its not our direct games that i am worried about.
I expect us to be solid, taking no risks, fielding to DMs, limited offensive power and hope for some individual brilliance in the first match with them which comes early.
Our defense sux, our midfield can hold its line and our forward line isnt exactly at form, Treze isnt fit physically, IQ mentally, Amauri isnt fully adapted yet and that wont be that easy.
When they still seem as impressive as they were last year and still very very fit!
CR wont risc, we will be happy for the draw, we might as well easily beat BATE.

But then we have Real, TWICE and this is exactly what i am afraid of,
Zenit will have an easy work against BATE and if we wont stop Real, when they will be eager to make as many points as possible, to secure qualification ans rank up first, then Zenit might get a 6 point lead. Having the last 2 games that would be a nightmare a non critical situation. They might sit on their lead, make a draw with us on their frozen pitch and then grab a draw from the unmotivated Real,
in the end, who will be already qualified first...

This is a classic scenario that happens in CL, to the teams that get the strongest team at the middle games. Basically these games decide who gets through and the last games are just to fill a few extra points.
It is our duty to consider every game as a different one, but our opponents wont!
If Real has no points, they will try harder against us, if they have enough in the end, they might let a few slip to the other teams.

If Zenit is fit at the start, as it is now and we fail to beat them.
And then if they beat BATE twice, then we would only have one option, to disqualify Real! Which is easier said than done, for many reasons...

This is why i am worried, not because i am afraid they are better than us and they will beat us in Turin, if we had their place in the schedule we could rank first.
But now they have the advantage and we are not that much better than them, to easily overcome this, we have to work more and be extra efficient,
our jersey alone will not give us the qualification!

PS not to mention the fact, that every opposition CB will rape Molinaro:oops:

I was quite impressed with zyryanov
Now this is the guy Cronios should have used if he thinks Molinaro will be owned.
Zyryanov operates in the center but the way he links up with the RB Anyukov is close to perfection.
Anyukov runs in space and Zyryanov always seems to know where to pass the ball and put Anyukov in a dangerous position to make a cross or to drift in from the right.

You dont understand, i dont mean a tactical rape, but a physical one...

Zyryanov may go past Molianro, but he wont be the first one, anyone can do that,
but raping him at his hideout, is what i am expecting to see and then i will show you and you will understand.
Chances are that we will both be online then!

Agree, I always thought he was more of a holding midfielder, but today he helped to create chances and no doubt needs to be cut down before he gives molinaro or whoever some grief.

we need to get Zebina back in action. Anybody who says Zebina isn't better than Grygera for us doesn't know what they're talking about.
Did ppl actually said that?
Well nothing surprises me anymore, truth is we need someone more reliable than Zebina, but at least he is a football player, he was a part of a defense once, some long time ago...

But guys guys guys, Zenit will be :gsol: weaker :gsol: than last year.
:lol2:

O really???

Zenit is much much faster than we are, yes they are strong, but if they can outpace Manure they are too strong.
I remember Manure out-muscle us and only Sissoko and Chiellini could stand their ground.
But where Zenit impressed me the most today, is their abusive efforts to run and cross, using the "air game" in their favor, long balls and headers were the majority of their game, before Danny and Arshavin took over.
All the EPL teams master this game and every team that tries to beat them there fials, we failed too, but the tall Russian guys managed to beat the EPL master onn their field of expertise.
They were faster, stringer and even better in the air game.
Our capable DF we have on the interceptions, its Chiellini, but he is just one...

Danny dribbled through Ferdinard and Vidic, who is going to stop him??

As for the right side, their captain Tymochuck will rape Molinaro so hard, that he may finally choose to quit football as a player and become a linesman!
Well, the best thing would be just to withdraw the matches against Zenit and let them have the 6 points. :p

No matter how blind you are, cant you see the possibility that we might be forced to concede a draw?
Thats what i said and under some circumstances, that would be enough for Zenit to qualify...

Without overhyping zenit up, I mean there a good team, and definetly can and proberly will beat us in one of the games.. you gotta admit one thing though, united were not themselves. I know the same can be said of zenit but lets face it, this match meant everything for zenit, following their press talk you can tell for them it was like playing the uefa cup final again. Either way Im glad they beat united, that should be more than enough as a warning sign, both matches will be tight or a counterattacking goal feast.. either way atleast they aint an unknown quantity anymore.

Maybe then, more ppl will understand why our mercato wasnt a successful one and how can our defense failed on the field, despite ranking 3-4th in the league...
I'm with you in this, Doc. Certainly. We did not fix the obvious problems with our squad yet people applaud some of these signings like they're fantastic. Left-back and a partner for Giorgio have been the obvious acquisitions in defense for a while, but instead we disregard those spots and buy another striker and DM. Fine.

But what people forget is that even with three DM's out there our defense is still tested. We cannot afford the errors of Molinaro, Grygera and others match after match if we want to do well.

In business, one of the most important things is fixing problems that are glaring weaknesses. If we took a SWOT Analysis from one year ago and compared that to a SWOT Analysis made today, it would be exactly the same.

Hence why we blast he decision making of the club.

Sure, but we dont care about Ma UN now.
Zenit only proved that little has changed for them since last year and the summer vacation that affected us, didnt affect them.

Being a relatively small team, ppl tend to underestimate them, but this game proved that they are here to stay.

Unlike other wonder teams that come and go, they ave the necessary resources to sustain their stars and keep their power. And they can still deliver at the top competition.
Thats is what they proved today!
They are def not better than Man un, but they are as good as they were!
