Good game IMO. :) But could go either way, I think Liverpool held such high tempo in belief of going to HT with the upper hand. Instead they came back in second down by one and tired. I think Benitez should have used Crouch earlier, perhaps right after HT. Not my favourite player but having a tower in the penalty area is always dangerous.

Congratulations to Milan, I’m happy the English dominance in Europe didn’t last to the finish line. I don't care much of them adding another trophy to their shelf as I have always respected and considered the Milan - Juve rivalry a rivalry of just respect.

The Italian press who wrote about wild-card obviously doesnt know enough about CL format. CL format has a specificed quota per each league, and the each respective national FA, I believe, has the right the allocate these placements based on their own judgement or rule. Hence, Milan winning CL cannot alter the number of CL places that go to Italian teams, thus there is no way whatsoever Juve being allowed to take part in the competition next year.

Anyway regarding the game by impression is:

Ambrosini didnt put a foot wrong in the entire match.

Nesta was supreme but made a few errors

Dida didnt fook up for a change

Inzaghi can't hold a ball to save his life, and played shit, and yet scored two goals.

Kaka was dull, but made telling contribution with his pass.

Seedorf started off nervous, but got better as the game went on and made quite a bit of defensive contribution until his leg tired out.

Maldini didnt make a tackle, but that shows his greatness.

Pirlo was hogging the ball early on, and giving away possession with needless through balls . And yet somehow contributed to the first goal.

Gattuso wasnt influential as usual, getting caught in possession many times, and not making tackle due to silly yellow card, but his presence alone makes Milan better.

Oddo was pretty good whole night, both going forward and defensive wise, bar his lapse of concentration on Liverpool goal.
