Poorest Cl in along time where you have a case of a team in the quarter finals losing by 7-1 and another losing 3-0 at home. I am not sure how Spalletti thought he could actually win Cl with no strikers and no defensive midfielder. The way Roma play requires to many of their players to expiate too much enrgy without reasonable cover for their defence against a team with the pace and running power of Man united while you have Psv who were leading their league by as much as 9 points or more at 1 stage will be lucky to win it as AZ Alkmaar only have to win next week and thats it or so I was led to believe. No team apart from man united have actually impressed me this season by being better than they were last season and seasons past. In this season's Cl unlike last season where Arsenal, Villareal were impressive and barcelona supreme, no team actually stands out as outstanding

I am actually very surprised that Figo has scored that many Cl goals, 24, thats a lot. But Ruud's record is just ridiculous if you compare it with the number of games he has played

80% of Ruuds goals are a joke....thanks to either giggs or scholes or etc for hitting the bar post and returning back to Ruud's feet in a clear goal....or a defender trying to clear a ball, it either hits ruuds face of stomache and then goal.

A name that should, and could have been there is that of Vieri's.He was one of the best finishers the game saw in the last 10 odd years IMO,with an incredible presence, great heading and shooting abilities. Why he never made it in the CL is something id never get.If im not wrong,He scored his first CL goal in 02/03.
