Fantastic job, man. Now this so called Juventus fans here will think twice whether to support Milan or Roma in Champions League next time. Idiots.

You´re the best, man and I hope you won´t get banned again.
Those posts counts for absolutely nothing and I'm sure none was chocked by that. Lot of you write the same stuff about them. Plus it was not a matter of what Italian team to win it to begin with...

Gerrard Eyes Euro Glory Repeat

Steven Gerrard's two goals against Middlesbrough fired Liverpool to within one win of clinching Champions League football next season.

Now he has challenged his colleagues to produce the performances to win the trophy this season.

Skipper Gerrard blasted a 25 yarder and a penalty to see off Boro as Liverpool re-claimed third spot in the Barclays Premiership from Arsenal.

And now the Anfield men have just a home clash with Wigan on Saturday ahead of the Champions League semi-final showdown with Chelsea, the first leg being at Stamford Bridge next week.

And after the victory over Middlesbrough, Gerrard could not help but look towards the clashes with Chelsea, who have now not lost in 21 games since being beaten at Liverpool back in January.

Gerrard said: "I believe there is still more to come from us this season and we have kept enough in the tanks to bring success, and a trophy, back to Anfield in May.

"Now everyone is playing for places next week down at Chelsea, and that is always a nice situation for the manager to find himself in.

"We've just about got a full squad to chose from and everybody wants to be involved in the big games."

But there is little doubt that much now depends on Gerrard retaining his best form - having taken his goals tally for the season to 11 on Wednesday - after a couple of below-par displays in recent weeks.

But as the midfield partnership with Javier Mascherano has improved so have Gerrard's performances.

Gerrard has certainly impressed the little Argentina international who said: "Playing alongside Stevie is great. Of all the players I have lined-up with in my career, he is definitely one of the best.

"He is incredible, I knew he was good before I arrived but he is even better than I imagined.

"I see it in every training session, every day. He can do everything and it is great to play alongside him on a regular basis."

The midweek victory also produced one of Jermaine Pennant's best performances of the season with a stream of quality crosses into the box, one creating the panic in Boro ranks that saw Peter Crouch fouled, with Gerrard ramming home the decisive spot-kick.

Pennant admitted: "I am in good form at the moment, but that is as part of the team. When the team is performing it is easier to play well yourself. Your best comes out then and at the moment I am really enjoying my football.

"It is pleasing to have found a consistency level. That will be pleasing to the manager and the rest of the boys as well.

"You want to do a good job and then you get rewarded for it. I feel I am having an impact on the games.

"I know the standards expected at Liverpool, and I have known that since the first day I came here. Every day is a learning curve for me and the way we play football here is great for me."

He added: "I feel we have been playing well and being part of this team helps me get better and improves my confidence. The Boro game showed how confident I am out there now.

"We have a good cushion now for the Champions League spot and we know with one more win, we are safe."

Boss Rafael Benitez will not consider discussing the Champions League until his side have got the one win needed to secure a top four finish, and he hopes it will come on Saturday at home to Wigan.

He said: "If we can win it we will be in the top four and we can then think about the semi-final of the Champions League.

"It is important to get that sorted as soon as possible. Everton and Bolton, in fifth and sixth spots, now need to win four games to catch us and that is not easy, but if we concentrate on ourselves and beat Wigan then it will not matter what the others do."
