Podolski "A Huge Barcelona Fan"

Bayern Munich striker Lucas Podolski has revealed ahead of the Real Madrid decider that he is a huge Barcelona fan.

Bayern Munich host Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night, trailing 3-2 from the first leg, and just three days later, Los Merengues face Barcelona at the Camp Nou.

Podolski, who returned to form with a goal and two assists in the 3-2 win over Hertha Berlin, has taken the opportunity to reveal he is an ardent Barcelona follower.

The German international insisted that he wanted to defeat Real Madrid even more, to make Barcelona fans happy.

"I am a huge Barcelona fan," he told Bild. "It is also for that reason that we must beat Real Madrid.

"We must keep it goalless for them, and if we have to win it with one clean strike in the 90th minute, so be it. However, I think we will be the more agressive team."

Mark van Bommel, a former Barcelona player, will also have similar motivation

Eric Abidal Accuses Daniele De Rossi Of Racism
Lyon and France wing-back Abidal has claimed that De Rossi racially abused him during OL’s Champions League last 16 first leg goaless draw at the Olímpico.

"After a standard tackle that you see in just about every match, De Rossi insulted Abidal," the player's rep David Venditelli told Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport.

"He made a lame attempt at reconciliation in the dressing room, De Rossi's apology was a simple 'hello'. I must say that this incident has discouraged him from moving to Italy", underlined the agent who’s been in talks with the Roma management.

De Rossi has shown himself to have a short fuse before, sent off and banned for three international games after elbowing USA forward Brian McBride during the 0-0 group stage draw with Italy in the World Cup.

Abidal now prefers a move to the Premiership or La Liga as his current contract expires in 2009, and a summer move is likely as OL don’t want to see him leave for free.

"A few clubs were interested in him, including Roma," added Venditelli. "But he doesn't want to come to Italy as he feels football there is racist. He’d prefer Spain or England.

"As to where he’ll be playing in future, Barcelona would be his preferred destination, then Arsenal and Liverpool who are also following him closely, but we’re still open to offers", concluded the agent.

I beleive so. Inter is the better team although they are choke artists. But I don't think they will lose to Valencia. Milan should without a doubt beat Celtic at home. and Rome should beat Lyon, although this may be the one im wrong on.

Barcelona is going to be far too exposed on the flanks playing three at the back and having Messi and Ronnie pushed forward all the time. I'm calling it right now Pool will win this match down the flanks through crosses on the counter.
