Hey, what are you talking about, Jun-hide? Chelsea play the best football this world has seen since the Bayern Munich of the 70's. Barcelona plays crap football and aren't nearly as interesting to watch as Chelsea.

Right.
Andy,

I have seen Chelsea play Manchester United and Sofia in a matter of week or two and I just havent been impressed by them. They are deadly efficient - I agree with you there. I mean that defence is going to be one hard nut to crack (BTW, I think Kahlid 'the Butcher' is top ten defender in the world) and I am loosing superlative to describe Makelele and Essien. Heck even their last resort Diarra looked good (whom Juve should pick up). But they just lack that extra bit of flash at the final third of the pitch which Barca gives you. I havent seen many Spanish matches this season but the ones I have seen like Villareal were a true to watch.

In all regards though, I don't think Barca will win it this year, and I have a feeling Chelski, and Inter with their extra muscles can stifle out to win it all. Motta, Edmilson are decent but likes of Makelele and Essien absolutely teed them off couple of times Chelsea met Barca. I expect similar treatment with Viera and Cambiasso.

As for tonight I understand players werent motivated. After all who would want to play Sofia on a cold wednesday night when you can party at the club?:D . And I feel Chelsea is actually more equipped to do well in Europe than in the past IMO despite their relative struggle in the EPL. Nonetheless if I was Mourinho I would Wayne Bridge, and Paolo Ferreira out of my sight as far as possible in the latter stages. Their defensive displays could be exposed at the latter stages. And Robben is terrible out of form ATM. He is being forced out of the pace too much of the game.

BTW, I didnt get it at first but did you meant as a form of sarcasm?:D .

Having just seen how you and Jacques argue about Barca, I kind of figured out you were being sarcastic here.:p

BTW, I am not going to argue with Jacques on Barca. His hatred on them is just as passionate as I have for Arsenal. Though I agree with him on Kaka being the most enjoyable player to watch ATM.:toast:

As expected Barca are thru to the next round after a tactical win , we scored early and then tried to keep control of the match to be slow as possible

Barcelona will thrash Werder...:D

I´m not underestimating Werder, but I seriously think Barcelona will thrash them, Barcelona is more experienced in this kind of matches and they always have luck on their side.

Home turf is also a big advantage to them and like m_elayyan said, Werder style of play suits Barcelona´s.

It could be the game of the year so far.

i have a bad feeling about barca tonight, i think bremen has every chance to surprise barca. if barca does fail tonight they will be the first cup holder to leave the competition from the first round!!!
Jacques said:
If Bremen don't get early red cards, they will beat the living crap out those over-rated Catalans. Hopefully we'll see Thuram crying by the end of this evening.
I´m sorry, but, soap it, guys!!! :D

Bisco said:
bremen started with the wrong strategy if a draw was all they need i think they should've depended on counter attacks and play defensivly but they have huge spaces at the back. lets wait and see what happens its early to make conclusions just yet.
Werder play defensively? :disagree:

No way! They would attack even if they lead game by 5-0.:D

i lost 500 courtesy of viera.i hope he retires at inter.
Never been a fan of Viera. His habit putting his hands on refs was infuritating. He and Inter are made for each other. But one hell of player.

Vieira is a fantastic player who plays for a wrong club.

I believe that if we kept him, he would be owning all these crappy midfielders in Serie B...

what the fuck are you doing on juventus forum? seriously..
Exactly what I thought so, I think he prefers Barcelona over Juventus, he didn´t give me a straight answer about that...

salman said:
if we had a choice,i would have prefered keeping emerson over viera.i thought splashing out 20m for him was wrong in the first place - wrong money for the wrong player.
:disagree:
What Emerson?:yuck: He was the best riddance this summer.

At least Vieira knows something with the ball while Emerson plays the ugliest football I have ever seen.
