Look at this way everyone, if you want to be champions then you gotta beat the rest no matter what class they are. We will play Milan or Bayern if we make it through, but if we make it passt that, would we play the winner of the madrid/arsenal - barca/chelsea?

No there is another draw at after this round where the path to the final is determined. UEFA norrmally make it an 'open' draw which is pointless as they may as well do the whole path now then re-convene another time. Guess they just keep their options open.

not really....you see how greece and liverpool ? ;)
Exactly mt point. You have to beat all your oponents. Underestimate your oponents is a fatal misstake. Look at Italy- South Korea for example.
Thats why i would prefer hard resistence all the way.

Chelsea - Barca: Knew it would happen. Really this is Mourinho vs Rijkaard and despite Barca's form I think Chelsea should be favourites to win again. Chelsea has more chance scoring against Barca than the other way round. And if you were Barca players wouldn't you be tentative about entering Stamford Bridge in the first leg, as the way they destroyed that 1st leg lead last time in the opening 20 minutes was horrendous.

Bayern - Milan: Toss of a coin. I fancied Bayern to win the whole thing but their form of late has been ropey and the continuing uncertainty over Ballack doesn't help. Milan are a mess and maybe this will be Ancelotti's last involvement in CL matches with Milan.

Real Madrid - Arsenal: Madrid are definitely favourites. Arsenal may have finished top...blah blah, but deep down they are still scared of a team like Madrid which shows their standing at this level. Playing away first doesn't help as they are abysmal away from home. Maybe Madrid do have a great chance in this tournament after all? Still going a round further than Barcelona would make their season.

The rest of the matches are pointless with easy passages for Juve, Inter, Liverpool and Villareal (just as they are only OK).

PSV - Lyon will depend on what mood Guus Hiddink is in. PSV are weaker this year but I still don't rate Houllier particularly highly. Hopefully Lyon get through as there will be enough 'stiflers' in the QF's already by then.

mine :

Chelsea-Barcelona
- barca will got to avenge their defeat last year. Gonna be full of controversy again. tight match. but barca`s attacking football can beat mourinho`s men defence

Real Madrid-Arsenal
- young squad arsenal wasnt mature enough to win competition, will be difficult to win against madrid. henry maybe able to score, but overall arsenal couldnt resist madrid domination

Werder Bremen-Juventus
- i like juve, thats why ;)

PSV Eindhoven-Lyon
- imo psv not as strong as last season, but it was different with lyon. played very good game in qualifying round, full of determination. juninho pernambucano`s performance is at his peak

Ajax-Internazionale
- inter will win this one, but as usual, not with convincing performance. inter lucky to be draw with ajax, that`s the reason why

Benfica-Liverpool
- liverpool is on fire. they played better game in domestic league than earlier of the season.dont know if simao sabrosa is still with benfica after january transfer window

Rangers-Villareal
- riquelme will lead his team to break rangers defence. on the contrary, rangers attack was poor,

Bayern-Milan
- ballack can give milan players hard time. but milan is full of determination after last year final defeat. good draw. rarely see this two teams meet. will be outstanding game:weee:

chelsea-barcelona
real madrid-arsenal
werder bremen-juventus
bayern munich-ac milan
psv eindhoven-lyon
ajax-inter
benfica-liverpool
villareal-rangers

think bayern can cause shock
think real arsenal will end up a rediculous score like 6-5 on aggregate as both teams simply attack constantly

An excellent Champions League draw from a Juve perspective. We've been matched up against a very beatable side in Werder Bremen while two of the best club teams in world football atm have been paired together (Barca-Chelsea) and Milan face an extremely stern test as they clash with Bayern Munich. Knowing that at least two of Barca, Chelsea, Milan and Bayern will be out of the CL when the quarter final stage comes around is welcome news for me.
