Juan Sebastian Veron is slowly emerging as Inter’s true leader on the pitch, and is now riling his troops ahead of the mouth-watering Champions League Milan derby.
“For now the only problem I am posing myself is how to eliminate the Rossoneri after the two league derbies demonstrated we have nothing less than they do. One we lost, but we didn’t deserve to,” he said.
The Argentine is currently on a one-year loan from Chelsea, but he clearly wants to remain at the Nerazzurri.
“After we eliminate Milan I’ll worry about the contract. I already told the Inter management that I intend to end my career here. But I don’t decide by myself, first of all I have to understand what Chelsea intend to do. And who knows, maybe Inter want to get rid of me at the end of the season,” he said.
“I went to dinner with Moratti, and I confirmed to him my intentions. The only team I would like to play for besides Inter is Estudiantes of La Plata, the team with which I grew up. I love it there, it’s the place where I want to raise my kids,” he added.
