No, but for instance he wouldn't be able to get a season ticket in his name, have a match ticket bought in his name, or be sold a ticket at the ticket office. He'd also be on the list of people for stewards to identify at the turnstiles. Because of his high profile they'd all recognise him.

Besides, this is not the first banning order he has had.

It makes things harder this way, but does it really stop them attending games? I doubt it.

VDV is no doubt a much better player than Dempsey its not even a contest. I am not going to make a judgement on whether or not Dempsey is successful at Tottenham yet, because obviously that would be unfair at this point. However, having watched both players for a long time i think i can safely say that Dempsey is not as good a player at VDV, and will probably not be a good enough replacement imo.

He already had ban from Leeds games which he ignored pretty much. Let's see if the coppers will do a better job when he gets out. But let's hope he gets some tender loving inside.

They lost both Modric and VDV, no way they will recover from that.

Dempsey has not been very impressive at Tottenham so far, kinda looks like he's punching a little above his weight there.

Huge difference between him and VDV imo. Not such a smart move to let the latter go if you ask me.
Spurs just lack guile having replaced Modric and Van der Vaart with Dempsey and Dembele.

They're both good players, but need someone with a bit more vision and passing ability to play with.

How do they implement these ban for life things? Do they check each and everyones passports before letting in the stadium?
No fan cards or anything here to check on the way in.

The club will not sell him tickets, but hard for them to monitor everyone who just pays at the turnstile.

At Pittodrie, people with banning orders are more likely to get spotted by the police units in and around the ground who specialise in keeping an eye on known troublemakers, as they may well have been known by the police for many years.

They'll then grab him and he'll be hauled up in front of a court for breaching the order.

Cool, but what is the practice for keeping those bans for life, I'm quite interested if lets say a guy who was banned 30 years ago does he still can't come to see games when he's 60 and for that he even might get prosecuted if he does sneak in? That's a bit overboard to me. Or do they forgive and forget after some time, uite a hars punishment a lifelong ban.
