Something way off with City season tickets costing 275 pounds, while Arsenals is 985...(even if latter includes some euro/league cup games).

It's mostly that City's season tickets are very cheap.

My Aberdeen season ticket cost £293 (no cup games included).

Arsenal's are set high because they want to keep out the oiks who might complain about them not winning anything, unlike the wealthy home-counties, family types that make up their support now who just want to sit quietly and watch them playing pretty but ineffective football.

The Germans are doing an awful lot of things right with the Bundesliga.

The ticket prices are even cheaper than they seem, as they generally give you free access to local public transport for a couple of hours either side of the match.

Can't even get beer at Scottish football because of this:

Typical that the Old Firm cunts ruin things for the rest of us.

Yeah I know the main difference is City choosing to be 2nd cheapest in the whole league with their season tickets, but seriously, what kind of losers does Arsenal have as fans? Totally do fuck all for 7-8 years and regress as a club, but still be charged a fortune to go see them? And still fill out like its all honky dory, fucking ridicolous bunch. I'm all for through thick and thin and appriciating your team, but come the fuck on, 985 pounds, the price gets raised the more the club regresses? Neat bussiness plan.

Why didn't you guys (teams not Celtic and Rangers) just form a majority and vote to bring restrictions on them?
Because, wouldn't you know it, an 11-1 voting requirment was created so they could block anything they didn't like.

That should be removed soon due to "Rangers" not being in the SPL any more.

The police would still block any move to reintroduce drink to grounds, though.

Strictly speaking, you aren't even allowed to drink when travelling to games.

What? That's crazy. If I were other teams in Scotland I just strike til the SPL instituted that a voted majority made all league decisions. I guess that's the difference between sports in the US and sports in Europe.

There are teams that barely survive when they go a month without a home game, so they can hardly afford to get all militant and refuse to play for any sort of extended period.
