k, funny because almost every dutch guy i've talked to wouldn't call him up for NT duty anymore.
:sergio:Tell your friends to stay far far away from football.
Provided the 2 assist vs Belgium and one of the few players who at least tried something at the EC.
bit harsh to say he had a crap season, he did good for bayern and i'm sure if he didnt miss the pk in the CL final people would call it his best season ever....

Never thought a huge amount of Ramirez.

Consider him a nice player, rather than a real difference-maker, so I can absolutely understand why no Italian team was interested at that fee and those wages.

Really have to question his mentality (and the advice he has been given) in choosing to sign for a relegation battler at this point.

I'd have said he'd be better off from a football point of view to stay at Bologna for another year and if he had another good year he'd have no shortage of offers much more attractive than anything Southampton could offer.

Oh, and I still can't blame Van Persie for going to Man Utd.

It's Arsenal's own fault.

Oussama Assaidi signed in as a Liverpool player today – here are 10 things you mightn't know about our new boy...

1. Assaidi is right footed. He can play on either wing or through the middle.

2. The forward wore the 22 shirt at Heerenveen, but that number is currently taken at Anfield by young Danny Wilson.

3. He could have played for Holland having moved there aged three and coming through the youth ranks at AZ - however, he decided to stay loyal to his country of birth and made his international debut in 2011.

4. Assaidi's decision to play for Morocco means he could be absent between January 19 and February 10, if they qualify for the African Cup of Nations.

5. Though noted for his trickery, he is also recognised as someone who works extremely hard for the team. In fact, international boss Eric Gerets once told Adel Taarabt when he left him out for Morocco: "Watch (Assaidi) and you'll figure why you're not in the team."

6. The wide man scored 20 goals in 68 appearances for Heerenveen.

7. Three of those came in one game against then reigning champions FC Twente. The game ended 6-2 and our latest signing had a part in all six goals, also claiming two assists and winning a penalty.

8. Assaidi turned 24 on Wednesday and shares a birthday with a few familiar names - Gillespie (American politician Ed Gillespie, not Gary), Aldridge (American musician Tommy Aldridge, not John) and Evans (golfer Jon Evans, not Roy).

9. His FIFA 2012 profile gives him 91/100 for acceleration, 90/100 for agility and 86/100 dribbling. The area he needs to work on - if the football console is to be believed - is slide tackling, at which they rate him 24/100.

10. Assaidi will become the second Moroccan to have played for Liverpool after Nabil El Zhar.

Fred, you and I have been friends on this forum since we both signed up here.

Therefore, whatever position you take on RVP, I will stand by you on it. I think that it was a punk move on his part to go to United. Wouldn't have even cared if he came to Juventus, but to go to United was just appalling.

Doesn't seem to matter though, as it was obvious that he was just phoning it in at the Euro's.

I hope they spend the money wisely, provided that it is not on Llorente

It's just disappointing. I've been following him for over 2 years now, and to see him go to Southampton just boggles my mind, unless that club plans on spending big in the next 2 weeks.
Thanks man.

Though rest assured, we are not investing that RVP money anywhere. :D

I would have preferred to sell RVP to Juventus for 10M than let him go to United for triple that amount, i really would not have begrudged him a move to a foreign club. Going to United though, is unforgivable whatever the circumstances.

Bologna president-
“Ramirez is contracted to Bologna and the club will decide upon his future, not the player himself,”
“Ramirez’s behaviour is totally unacceptable, giving open interviews like that without consulting us. Gaston cannot force my hand with two interviews.
"I am a serious person and I've already said it will take €20m to sell him. And I also told his agent.”
_____________

He sounds like a bit of a dick then.

Beppe Marotta broke your heart too with not bringing RVP to Juventus?

I know the pain.

Sounds like a dumb kid. I wonder if Saints can actually afford €20m fees.

Man, my friends that have been talking shit 'bout Juve since forever and calling us cheats, and saying we're a washed up club living in the past :howler:
You should see their faces today , fucking mediocre selling club. I hope Wenger is happy because he sold to his main rivals, fucking mediocre, washed up, sorry-ass excuse of a coach. I wish the worse for him and his club, watch Wilshere go to Chelsea in 2 season
Song and RvP gone in less than a week. :lol2:

Still, I feel for you, Fred. I think you're too good of a person to support trash like that, come to the light akhee, the black and white light. :D
