Anyone else just read the article with Mancini complaining about FFP. He said that owners should be able to spend whatever they want if they are rich. The dude is a joke. His club cost a fortune in transfer fees and he still can't win with them, so now he wants to spend even more.

Either that owners should spend as much as they like, or that other teams should be forced to sell to City at a cheap price. The cheek on this guy

yeah i posted that article a couple of pages back, mancini is a joke i mean no disrespect to southampton but even a team of man city's quality should have seen off southampton, then again you only have to look at mancini's selection today, why the fuck did he start javi garcia in defence when he had kolo toure on the bench? why take off nasri at 3-1 down and put on james fucking milner? because he's going to add anything better? and to top it off swapping defenders for maicon and kolarov, wtf? that is such a del neri move. so yeah mancini is gonna be pissed about ffp because soon he wont be able to thrash money to solve his problems it means he actually has to use some tactical/managerial ability for once in his career.

If City loses title to United by 10+ points this year I think it's 50/50 whether Mancini gets fired or not. What other manage could have Dzeko, Tevez, Aguero (and until recently Balotelli) in attack and complain about lack of striking options. Imagine Juve with any two of those. Damn. Even one of them. We'd be 15 points clear in Serie A. And a lock for UCL semi-finals, if not finals.

oh im almost certain he's gone in the summer, they just won't announce it now out of respect to the guy, the fact that mancini can't even get it his own way on the transfer market any more indicates this. any ways he has a wealth of talent throughout the team, maybe not necessarily the balance or the right system, but still regardless of the fact they sold balotelli which i think was a good piece of business they still have the likes of Guidetti rotting away in the reserves and im lead to believe they have some talented kids in the youth team as well, any how they have 3 world class strikers, we can't exactly say we have even 1 let alone 3 but like psg city have no chemistry or identity and that will remain their downfall. man utd will no doubt win the league, i was confident of that from the moment they signed RVP, they would have won it last season had they had van persie then as well

If QPR and Newcastle go down, I'll be happy.
problem with qpr is that they have such slow defenders, more midfielders are having to commit to a more defensive role, which leaves them rather toothless going forward, sure qpr might get the odd 1-0 lucky win here and there, or the draw, but i really can't see them staying up simply because their priority is to defend rather than score

The Portugal star is facing the Red Devils for the first time since his £80m move, and his former Old Trafford boss thinks the 28-year-old is more talented than the French legend
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is more talented than Los Blancos legend Zinedine Zidane as the sides prepare to face each other in the last 16 of the Champions League.

The Portugal forward became the world's most expensive player when he made his €94 million move from Old Trafford to the Bernabeu in 2009 after winning the Ballon d'Or in a glittering career with the Red Devils.

And while the 71-year-old manager will be hoping his former prodigy can be kept quiet enough for the Premier League leaders to progress in Europe, he thinks the 28-year-old's skills surpass even those of the famous 'Zizou.'

"Florentino Perez had all the Galacticos at Real Madrid when he was president first time around," Sir Alex told reporters. "He had [Luis] Figo, Zidane, Roberto Carlos, Raul in that spell. But I don't think any of those players were as good as Ronaldo.

"Zidane was a fantastic player, Figo was a fantastic player. But not as good as Ronaldo. So I think Mourinho's team are still living up to the reputation that Real Madrid can produce the top players.

"Ronaldo has beaten all the records there. He's beaten [Alfred] Di Stefano, [Ferenc] Puskas, Hugo Sanchez. So obviously he is indelibly printed in their history now.

"You have to say he is pivotal to all they do - 179 goals in 178 matches tells its own story. I think I might have to think about blackmail. I might have to tell a true story about him!

"He's a fantastic player. I knew he would improve tremendously, he was still young when he left us."

Sir Alex says Ronaldo's dedication to training allied to his fantastic talent sets him apart from other players, and even suggested the world record fee they paid for him was a bargain for Madrid.

"He would practise half-an-hour after every training session," he continued. "It was a simple route to becoming a complete footballer. The more you practise the better you become, and it became a habit for him.

"I told them upstairs [the Glazers]. We should have asked for €175m; we probably would have got it."

But despite the Scot's clear admiration for the Madrid star, he does not believe he will ever be able to afford to sign him again.

"You are talking hundreds of millions; I don't see it," he added.
