The Portuguese liga is quite entertaining (I particularly like sporting), quality is on par with the French league and better than eredivisie, definitely inferior to serie A tho.

Adding to the goalkeeper topic, Jaaskelainen has been really good this season I think, one of the main reasons of west ham's good results.

I'd also like to say that Hugo Lloris es the best prem keeper but I can't, due to AVB being such and AVB and not playing him.

Look at it as two levels. La Liga, Bundesliga, EPL. Then comes Serie A, Port, and Ligue 1. Serie A has only one good team, not unlike the Portguese Liga with Porto and Ligue 1 with PSG.

Finally someone with common sense.

That Mata goal by the way :tuttosport:
He's been on fire this season :D, can't understand why Del Bosque keeps playing Silva over him, I think they're perhaps on a similar level but based on recent and current form Mata is in definitely better shape. Actually having players around him that can keep the ball and play little one-twos has been of great help to him. Perhaps one of the best performers of the EPL this season.

I don't know why some of you rate the Bundesliga so highly. Outside of Bayern and Dortmund, the rest of the league are absolute shit. Schalke look lost and confused, Leverkusen and Monchengladbach aren't exactly menacing, and Wolfsburg are awful.

Granted the football is dynamic, fast paced, and entertaining, but outside of Bayern and Dortmund, the other teams clearly lack quality and depth.

I'd say the overall of quality of Bundesliga has upped considerably, and it is very competitive; also, while Schalke struggled a bit in the league, they looked great in the champions league.

They had a pretty easy group in the CL. Montpellier, Olympiakos, and the current Arsenal team are hardly giants of the footballing world. All I'm saying, it's hard to rate the league so highly (above the EPL, and granted that the football is entertaining and dynamic) when German teams haven't won anything of note in Europe for the past 10 years.

Well, Serie A is quite crappy. We've done a great job, but let's not kid ourselves. Had we been plying our trade in La Liga, EPL, or even Die Bundesliga, I think we'd struggle to finish in the top 3 (perhaps not in this year's EPL, and we'd probably finish 2'nd or 3'rd in the Bundesliga) let alone win the league at a canter, especially given the strikers/attackers at our disposal.

Fuck off. We'd easily finish top 2 in EPL and a good chance of finishing in the top 2 in the Bundesliga.

Actually we're stronger as a team unit than any team in the EPL.
Bogan please. Reread my post. I said we'd struggle, not fail. I also highlighted that this season'e EPL is significantly weaker than previous editions, and that we'd probably finish 2'nd in the Bundesliga.

La Liga: 3'rd
EPL: 2'nd
Bundesliga: 2'nd

If we had someone like Cavani/Falcao leading the line, we'd possibly win both the EPL and Bundesliga (or at least give Bayern a run for their money); we'd potentially pip Madrid to 2'nd in Spain as well ;)
