I think no one came close to United's offer. Arsenal's board/coach/players have no intention in winning
Well, the 6-8 million more they received from United will cost them plenty of more money when van Persie makes United better.

Southampton can play as much nice football as they want but until they learn to deal with basic defensive scenarios they aren't going to end up with many points.

Thought Arsenal played some good stuff today.

They were much more compact defensively than they have been for quite a long time.

Arteta, Diaby and Cazorla shat all over Liverpool's midfield and that decided the game.

Liverpool's midfield basically offered nothing, while Arsenal had drive from Diaby, finesse from Cazorlo and Arteta kept the shape nicely and protected the back four well.

Liverpool's midfield was actively harmful, as could be seen for the two goals.

For the first, Gerrard gave the ball away and Allen, who tended to be the deepest of the three, was absolutely nowhere near Cazorla, who he ought to have been marking.

For the second goal, Shelvey just decided not to bother to track his man.

Meant that Arsenal were given opportunities where they just had to stay calm in order to get chances, as Liverpool were fucking up so Arsenal didn't have to do anything particularly good.

How the fuck did Arsenal think when they sent their best player and the best player in the league to their biggest rival? Why did they accept the bid, why?! What did they expect, that he would stink? He will single handedly give United easy wins in games they have no business in winning. They should just have forced him to another league. Isn't the point of football to become the best, not help your rivals be the best?
Our board is driven by business motives more than footballing motives. Its why we have one of the highest season ticket prices in Europe, despite winning fuck all and getting beat in such embarassing ways.
"We run our club like a business and this guys contract is expiring soon, it doesn't matter who we sell him to"
Fuck Kroenke, Hill Wood and their puppet Wenger.

Arsenal is always 4th while Manchester is on the top. I have no idea how are they rivals. It's like Juventus and Inter last season.
Thats ridiculous, did you hate the likes of Pescara more than you hated Inter during your time in Serie B?

Rivals are rivals, whether or not we won anything the past few years has zero relevance.

wenger :andyandbarcelona:

resisitng the idea of sending him to juventus, only to sell him to his biggest rival.
He didn't resist Juventus, he just knew the rapist wasn't willing to go there. Its like purple face emphasized so many times, the move to United wouldn't have went through if rapist didn't push for it.
