Makes sense, they need him a lot, and it will help him secure his place in the NT for the Euro's.
Still, i think they'd be content with Ferdinand, Evans, Jones and Smalling.
Evans is a terrible defender, i wouldn't even take him at Arsenal, not even as cover for our starting CB's, you know you're bad when your a defender that can't make Arsenal's bench.

Unfortunately for them they can't rely on Ferdinand to always be fit or on form either, Jones and Smalling are good but make mistakes that all young players will.
De Gea is also becoming a big problem for them. Young goalkeepers will obviously make mistakes but they could write a whole season off watching him grow up. I think he'll be great one day but not now.

I don't agree with Kenny complaining every time two matches come too close together for his liking. That happens to everyone, suck it up and play.
The whole Suarez thing is just odd. I think he may be the most hated player in the league. But you really can't do much but stand buy your man and hope he misses the minimum of matches.
Then the FA charging Liverpool with being unable to control it's players after the Spearing red card is just ridiculous. Though to be fair, Kenny hasn't really said much other than "We'll look at the rules, if they've been broken we'll accept the fine".
I think it's really just a sign of frustration. People expecting us to be back this season, when it's been likely we need another season to begin to gel. As always with Liverpool, high expectations colliding with dim realities.
But if you don't like it, there's always Manchester United.

Obviously he's trying to create this victim siege mentality within the club to get a reaction from his players, he even touches on it by talking how everyone from the players to the tea lady backs Suarez 100% as they know he is a good lad, which is quite encompassing and debatable. It's sheer bias, which is fine. Also it puts officials under pressure, he did it before and it worked. If you do it too much it goes against your team, as Fergie has found out since last season.
For me it starts getting silly when he is saying things like; It's part of being a top player, if fans and players spot a weakness they will exploit it to bring you down, you have to be better than that. On the other side you have the fantastic footballer who is somewhat tainted by his susceptibility to gravity once he reaches opposition penalty areas, which opposition fans in England will always be particularly loathsome of.

It's difficult to say. I think Kenny is stating the obvious, but it needs to be said. How many times does it need to be said? Probably once.
I don't think Suarez would be getting the same treatment if it weren't for the World Cup handball. Look at Nani for example. Way more susceptible to gravity anywhere on the pitch, yet not a scrutinized as Suarez.

In the long run he won't be a Vidic replacement, he'll be playing alongside him. So when buying a CB, they should keep that in mind. I also don't think aerial dominance is their main problem in defense right now.
I rate Hangeland highly though, i think he's better than Cahill, and i think he would work alongside Vidic, so ideally he'd be a better signing than Cahill imo. I strongly doubt Fulham would let him go in January though(unless United offers over the odds money for him)
