If your talent exceeds the rest of the teams and it stays like that for a number of seasons then you've got a right to want to leave, you're under achieving. Careers only last 12 or so years and only a handful of those years are you at your absolute best.

Yeah, no-one would have a bad word to say about him now. I guess at the time he left some folk would have been a bit upset and might have said so less complimentary things about him.

He had the chance to join lots of top sides before he chose to go to Man Utd. Arsenal and Spurs both tried. Rangers spent the whole time trying to get him and his captain, Willie Milller.

I'm pretty sure he spoke to Barca at one point, too.
