Can't say I didn't see this coming. Would have rather acquired a short term replacement from outside the club. Kenny will be difficult to pry out of the position if he succeeds.

Hodgson was always on borrowed time, whether now or at the end of the season. The lack of results didn't help him.

Liverpool to face a religation scrap with King Kenny in charge.
Do they really think coaching is that easy that he can come back after all this time.

They are in deep doodoo.

I think Liverpool have made a huge mistake.
I do too. But now we've go to sit with it. We might be able to get through the next few matches on emotion and fresh tactics, but after that the real test will begin.

Hodgson wasn't the answer. If he was Spanish or Italian the media would have been trashing him for months. Like poor Carlo over at Chelsea. Quite undeserved, the stick he's been getting.

Carlo has received a very positive reaction, all things considered. The fans have treated him very well, as have the media, as far as I have seen. Whereas the Liverpool fans slaughtered Roy- which I put sown to him being a Londoner.

Mostly, it was because he was a remnant of the last regime which were terrible to the fans. That and his attitude and lack of understanding of the footballing culture of Liverpool which can be pointed out to by his mishandling of media opportunities.

Carlo treated well by fans? Did you not read about the training ground banner and protest?

No, missed that, but it's been a long time coming.

Hope he gets the sack and goes to Juventus.

We had a relegation scrap with Hodgson in charge.
You still do. A change of manager doesnt mean its going to all be rosie. Im interested to see how king kenny will do? i know the fans are extremely happy but that was like when kevin keegan went back to newcastle. we'll see what happens.

From what I've read, the players are pretty happy as well. Personally, if I was going to get a caretaker, I'd have gone outside of the club. Even if Kenny does get us to the top 6, I don't think he's the coach for the future.

Oh and that reply was a reply to someone saying we now have a relegation scrape. My point is that we had a relegation battle regardless of the coach. 4 points clear is 4 points clear.:D
