Hehe, yeah, aint it grand in retrospect considering our wingers today, that I had to defend him on this forum because he wasnt "good enough" for us to sign according to many (I agreed on the part of his age though).

Not necessarily.

Don't get me wrong, I think Chelsea are the best team in England, and I suspect they'll win the CL this year, I just don't see much reason to get excited about them yet this season.

It really is but i really doubt he would have replicated this sort of form at Juventus. Seems like all this negative energy has rubbed off onto a lot of players.Other than that he's a real phenomenal player when on form.

Malouda has been huge for quite some time now, he's one of the best & most consistent wingers in England by now.

I do agree that he probably wouldn't have replicated this form in Juve though.

And Red has a point, our results so far have been err.. flattering but they're no reason to get excited yet, i personally have some doubts about our backline, but time will tell.

To be fair I have spoken to Chelsea fans on forums and in real life absolutely slate him up until last season, he's come good now but looked disinterested at times before.

True, but then again they are facing same teams as the rest, and non of the others are blitzing everything in their path like they do, should signify something, no?

Chelsea's opening schedule is pretty easy compared to everyone else. They're a good team, but they've been throttling the bottom of the league.

Saw much of the game with Liverpool, and it seemed to me that on another day they would have lost by 3 to 4 goals. They were outclassed by a United side that are 4 players short of being contenders.
