That's a fact, though.

The great EPL attacking teams actually scored less than the serie A teams in 2008/09 and they scored more last year, mostly due to Chelsea's destroying of some teams (after Ancelotti joined Chelsea)

In total in the last two years the EPL teams scored 1995 goals while the serie A teams 1980 goals.
They score 2.62 goals per match in EPL and 2.60 in serie A.

So in 760 matches the EPL teams scored only 15 goals more than the serie A teams. Either they have amazing goalkeepers in the EPL or they aren't so much more attacking than the Italian teams as the average EPL commentator would like you to believe and guys like Fred will buy it.

And if we go further back...in 2007/08 the EPL teams scored 32 goals more than the serie A teams, in 2006/07 the serie A teams scored 37 goals more than the EPL teams.

Are we living in an illusion?
:wth:

Much of the propaganda surrounding the Prem is just that, propaganda. All they have is four really good teams and a couple fringe teams that are decent. Apart from that, it isn't any different from La Liga or Serie A. It's just that they play more retarded football from 7th spot down.

Honestly, it's just as bad as in the Prem. I think people tend to overrate it in England. For what reason, I don't know. Most of the bottom clubs I see are always in shambles.
:agree: they've always been like that, ever since i can remember and nothing really have changed after all these years. They're still crap....

That's what makes them better, four really good teams and a couple decent teams. In La Liga there are two really good teams and the rest is way below. Serie A has become with one really good team and the rest is rubbish. The Bundesliga however is becoming the most balanced league and I insist it's on its way to be the best.

In my opinion, it will depend on this season, if we will see a walkover from Bayern, then I don't think we will see a balanced league the coming seasons.
EPL seems to be the league which has the most title candidates this season.

Did you see the match Fred?

Yes I did.

Pretty poor showing by us i would say. We struggled a lot against your ten men in the second half, and only scored by a goalkeeping gaffe. We played very well in the opening 25 minutes, but after that we were quite average.

Our two new signings did not have good games. Chamakh was marked out of the game, and won almost no aerial challenge with Carragher and Skrtel, which for me was disappointing. Koscielny didn't look so assured out there either.

Rosicky was brilliant when he came on though, and if it wasn't for Reina's amazing fingertip save, he probably would have scored an amazing goal to reward his efforts. I think you guys were a little unlucky with the red card too.

serie 8's top teams are pretty competitive.
So competitive they get their arses kicked in the UEFA Cup every season.

You guys are believing in your own hype. The Serie A is no better than the Liga or the EPL.

If you guys stuck to it being more entertaining to watch, then at least that would be understandable. Personally i believe the Liga is a stronger league than the Serie A, the top 7-8 teams at least are better than their equivalents in the Serie A. But i don't enjoy the Liga very much other than Real and Barcelona, i would watch 7-8 teams from the Serie A though. Which further illustrates my point that the argument that the Serie A is more entertaining is understandable, but that its better? Bullshit.
