Or a Fiberglass stay and:
Diabi
Nasri--Fiberglass--Cole
Chamack

With Sagna and Clichy as fullbacks all they need is some good CB next to Verm.

Nasri can handle some his defensive duties and if you're not satisfied with Diabi then replace him with Song for all I care.

Nasri can handle the bench. I hope we buy a decent central midfielder that can play alongside Cesc and Song. With Robin Van Persie, Arshavin and J.Cole as the front three.

A midfielder plus Song to provide defensive cover.

You had a midfield that did not even have one defensive minded midfielder, how are the two even comparable?

I had Nasri along Diabi in place of those two and I later told you that you can replace Diabi with Song (eventhough the former IMO is much better than the latter) so you've only replaced Nasri with some anonymous player the way I see it.

I watched them almost weekly, and it takes just one game to see Song is more vital then calamity Abou.

And yeah Van Persie, Arshavin and Joe Cole attack would work. Cole instead of inconsistent ones like Nasri and Walcott would be useful.

Song was actually one of our best players last season. He improved drastically over the past season, do you remember Song from the seasons before, he was an absolute disaster.

One thing we should not do however is play Song as CB, he only works there against the smaller clubs.

Hehe yeah, Poor Vermalen noticed that in the CL games, when he was his CB partner.

And yeah, there was a time when I used to think Song was the definition of raw player, alot of physicality and defensive power who just charges in at will, but totally bumbling and error prone whenever he got near the ball. Last season he even showed he is a good passer who builds up play decently, and plays his role rather tactically, totally challenged.

Diaby is the reverse, showed quite bit of ability and potential initially, but has done nothing but regress as player since.
