He just wants a job after the WC. Since Drogba's out I guess he figures he won't be there for long.

Fuck the Swede.

I don't want Benitez anywhere near Juventus so I am glad we dodged the bullet. Don't get me wrong he could be very sucesful at Inter but he is one of the last managers I would trust to build a team. Fact is he won the Champions league with Houllier's team, and from that season forward Liverpool was going backwards despite spending more then United and Chelsea.
That's just a totally ridiculous comment, but even if we took all those supposed "facts" as truth, Benitez would STILL be better than Del Neri.

So yeah, we dodged a bullet alright. But unfortunately we couldn't step out of the path of that Bullet Train.

Real Madrid have already started on Gerrard. Big teams almost always launch a media campaign to get the players they want.

On another note, I saw Harry Rednapkin is our number one priority for manager. :sergio:

I don't blame them for going after him, afterall they have the money, and the player has always wanted to play for them at some point. But the way they are conducting themselves is disgusting.

@Nick, i don't follow?
Laporta said if Arsenal don't want to sell we will back off and respect your wishes, however it's not the case.

You think he's leaving?
I'm not too sure now. If Rafa stayed I think he was gone 100% it was clear he had a sour relationship with him and his body language on the pitch this year at times was really weird. I think depending who becomes manager he may stay. 3 years ago he nearly signed for Chelsea, he rejected the deal at the 11th hour. If Madrid come calling I think he may go.

In any case nothing will happen until after the World Cup.

Most deals will happen after the World Cup anyway. He's just turned 30 and does not have a league title to his name. He has every other trophy so I think the incentive for a new challenge and chance to win silverware will tempt Gerrard.

My reaction too.

They are publicly unsettling him, he wants to go and he wants his future sorted out. Laporta knows that we have to sell, because Cesc wants to leave, he is trying to take advantage of the situation.

I'd accept Kaka plus 30 million depending on who our coach is.

Unless they pay Arsenals valuation Cesc will stay. Really unproffessional attitude by Cesc I thought he was better than this.

:agree:

Any club who deals with Madrid can demand what they want because they will mostly get it. I don't think Kaka is the man for you though. You would be better asking for 40 million then sign two top players at 20 million each.

I still stand by what I said. Even without money Sven would do well.
