They don't, otherwise after 6 years they would've spent it, they spent like 20m on Reyes like 7-8 years ago. That's a media based myth spend money, that doesn't even exist. Although they make $$$ due to their quality 60,000 stadium, possibly the best stadium in Europe. But probably paying off debt. But to be fair spending nothing and getting CL, EVERY SEASON and challenging for the EPL, although they will not ever win it, unless they find new investment imo:tup:
They dropped money on Arshavin too. They've got a good team as it stands, just missing a couple mentally strong players. Still a fun team to watch, I wish them all the best.

Chelsea's Carlo Ancelotti: I would take West Ham job
Manager admits he would relish the challenge of steering West Ham from Championship back to Premier League in a bid to stay in British football

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti admits he would manage newly-relegated West Ham to stay in British football as his time at Stamford Bridge looks likely to come to an end on Sunday.

The Blues have failed to land any trophies this season and Ancelotti has revealed that he would not say no to an opportunity to coach the Hammers even if it means a drop in wages for him and life outside of the Premier League.

The Italian boss is adamant that money is not the only factor motivating his career choices despite receiving over £5 (€5.7) million a year at Chelsea.

"I would coach West Ham - why not,” he told News of the World.

"It's a challenge to manage a team outside of the top four and even in the Championship.

"The atmosphere at West Ham is amazing and I can say the same about football in the Championship.

"I have respect for every team and the job of my colleagues. It is the same and it doesn't matter if you can manage a top team or a smaller team.

"It's your job, and for me it's important to work. I was happy to train in the second division when I was learning.

"If a club said to me, 'You can manage this club without money', I'd have to decide whether to accept or not.

"Money is not a motivation. The money has never been a motivation for me.

"I don't think it's a motivation for the players either. It's not a strong motivation to play for the money at this level.

"The motivation is to play, to win, to be the best. To stay at the top as a player, as a manager, this is a good motivation. To give a good image of yourself, this is a good motivation.

"The Championship is also fantastic, the stadiums are fantastic. I have seen a lot of games on TV and the atmosphere is fantastic.

"If you watch a game in Italy in the second division, then in the stadium there will be say 2,000 people. It is totally different in England."

Looks like it, I want Wigan to stay up but it looks unlikely now, it relies on a draw at Blackburn-Wolves which isnt gonna happen now.

But I think Wigan are strong enough to get repromoted in the Championship, whereas a small club like Blackpool I don't think could come back up quickly, they only pay their players a reported 10k per week, for EPL thats nothing, they'd lose half their team.
