Chel$ki were a pen kick away from winning the C.L and im actually glad that mug terry had to miss it. But if he didnt then we wouldnt be having this conversation Nicole. I understand what you're trying to say but branding Chelsea Chokers is a tad OTT. More unlucky if anything.

The thing about Chelsea is they have this obssession with the C.L like ''Our old" Juve did pre calciopoli. I remember before we even kicked off the new serie A season most of our players kept talking ''we want the champions'' and when it turns into an obssession like that, you're destined to fail.

Thats the whole point? If Paula Radcliffe (random I know) hadn't bottled the marathron in Athens when she was the World Champion at the Marathron for the past few years she'd of won a gold medal, but she didn't.

If Italy knew how to take penalties we wouldn't of went out in France 98 because the last penalty hit the crossbar, if England didn't bottle every penalty shoot-out ever they might actually of won a world cup in the last 50 years. The point is they do miss them, thats what makes a bottler a bottler.

Showing off? I'm making a point :O

And yes you could go on all day because there is a psychology of choking. I read an article on it not so long ago (on the BBC website) it goes along the lines of when someone is trying too hard to do something they consciously take over actions that there body does automatically (through years of practice) and you can't perform them correctly and thats why you see people who've done something a million times suddenly fail at the biggest moment to do even the most simple of things.

For example, if a footballer practices shooting for years and years it becomes a very natural thing, the body can do those actions automatically, if he tries too hard and takes over that functional and tries it manually, he dosnt know how to do it properly.
