There are many similarities between the current chelsea team and Milan's team back in 2006 IMO. Both teams have a pretty experienced players, with limited depth so perhaps being out of the race for the league title may let the players focus more on Europe.

Its just a theory, but who knows ....

I'm surprised how poor Chelsea's defense have become, i mean individually there aren't many defenses in Europe who have better players, despite that, they have conceded some absolutely elementary goals.

Whats your take on your team's chances of avoiding the drop btw? Things at the lower end of the table look interesting this season, and with teams like Fulham, Brum and A.Villa in the relegation dogfight, things could get a bit tricky for your boys.

Injuries haven't been kind to you guys too, especially in defense, having to see the likes of Gabiddon playing at left back i would imagine isn't too easy.

You're so true. It isnt easy but i know we'll survive, in fact in sure we will. I wanted villa to lose purely so others around us can have that fear feeling like we have done for the last season and a half and see how they manage with it. Seeing my boys playing well week in week out and hardly most times getting the rub of the green. ok putting aside the 2 own goals everton and wolves have given us recently, but i want to point out that our heads could have so easily been down, but they are fighting back hard now and its such a joy to see. Gabbs has be en quality at left back and i know he isnt the best but as we all say down the Boleyn that we all want 11 scott parkers in the team. They are fighting well and there is nothing more i could ask for. Get all our players back in like collison (who i highly rate) havent even seen hitzelsberger yet but hes coming soon, and the signing of a bit of steel like Sidwell isnt the greatest but as long as it keeps that idiotic Kovac out the team then its only a improvement.
