Rules are rules, if Liverpool go into administration, they should be deducted points. I do not hate Liverpool like i do our other rivals, i'd have wished it on United or Chelsea(sorry Gab:p), but i don't wish it on Pool, i hope the deal goes through on Friday.
The only way the sale doesn't go through is if Hicks wins in court in Britain. I don't think that's likely, maybe someone with better insight can fill us in.

As for administration. I'm sure the Premiership would deduct 9 points, then RBS would sell the entire team in January or sell the club for a fee above the cost of the debt.

The Americans gave written assurances, apparently, that the Chairman could organise and ratify the sale of the club for a reasonable price, and the Americans wouldn't block that sale.

The court case is going to hinge on whether the offer from NESV can be considered reasonable within the terms of the written assurance giving by the Americans to the Board.

Given that Liverpool are, potentially, within a week of going into administration, I don't see how the NESV deal can be deemed unreasonable by the High Court, as it is the only way that Liverpool are going to be able to clear the debts they owe to the banks.

I knew all in the bold.

Yeah, you would think that the courts would side with the club. But stranger things could happen.

This whole resistance put up by Hicks and Gillett is really useless, even if they win, they are still going to lose the club to RBS who will in turn end up selling it to NESV.
Talk about going out with a whimper.

NESV say they're out if Liverpool get a 9 point deduction due to Hicks and Gillet's stalling tactics.

"Top clubs won't appoint British managers because we don't have trophies," said Hughes.

"I watch some of the teams in the Champions League, with managers who have won trophies, and I know I can set up a team to beat them.

"Competing in the Premier League is more difficult than winning trophies in plenty of countries abroad.

"Who is the better manager...one of these Champions League guys with a trophy from Holland, France, Switzerland and places like that - or me, in this league, the hardest, most high profile league in the world?"

Its a competition, if they're good enough they would be coaching the Man Uniteds and Arsenals and Chelsea's, these coaches have to realize that the only reason the EPL is where it is right now, is mostly due to foreign coaches and foreign players.
