Probably Gingac. Big, strong, good finisher.

I've never seen Milevsky and I think Remy is versatile but he doesn't sound like he's committed.

Gallas supposedly has a medical tomorrow with spurs

Some Arsenal fans saying Squillaci would be a boost to the team :lol2:
Squillachi? :sergio:

Had one good season with Monaco and has been living on that reputation ever since. He was average for Lyon and he's average for Sevilla now. I'm just glad he's not going to be more than backup for us. Even though, backup at Arsenal means he will play a lot, due to our players mysterious knack for getting injured all th time.

As for Gallas, never liked the fellow, i wouldn't be surprised if he signed for the Spuds.

Wenger's mad because this year's "french steal" doesn't look to good, so he's going to get another and hope for the best.

Koscielny is a much better defender than Squillachi, thats for sure. I would reserve judgment on the former to be honest, until he gets more playing time, an opener against Pool at Anfield, isn't exactly the easiest way to start his Arsenal career.

I'm just saying the Squillachi deal reeks of panic buying. Especially with Arsenal unable to land a serious goalkeeper.

Gallas is a cunt. Never liked him.

Yeah Squillaci, check these comments:

I think the Squillaci deal is good news for all Arsenal fans and players.. what with Koscielny suspended and Djourou injured.. I would not like to see makeshift Song play at CB or some untested youngster even if it's Blackpool.. !!Plus, he's a great CB and he's proven in La Liga too. and for the GK situation... what's keeping you Professor.. Given and Schwarzer have shown clear interest.... GO FOR IT
Arsenal need a gooalkeeper and a defender looking at the injury history the club has. Squillaci's addition would boost the team. He's the right man for us

Oh and fred i'm sorry to be the carrier of bad news but:

Sevilla's Website: Sebastien Squillaci has his future in the air. This was recognised away from the microphones by the sporting deputy general, Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo Monchi, who said at the airport in Oporto that the club had an offer from Arsenal, and the player said before the [Champions League] meeting [with Braga on Wednesday evening] that he was not able to play."

You know my standards in the Mercato are so low nowadays, i'm starting to think Squillachi is not such a bad thing after all. You know the alternative really could have been to play Song as a CB, and that would be terrible. Also, he is better than the injury prone, error prone and extremely inconsistent Djourou. Still, hopefully he doesn't get a lot of playing time.

Depends on his price i guess, i would've kept Campbell for that matter.

Fred, that kid of yours Pingpong or whatever his name is :)P) got injured, out for 6 to 9 months.

btw, would you give Vela plus cash for Schwarzer?
Frimpong, ya, kid was quite decent in pre season, and was poised to be backup for Song this season. He's so unlucky, the poor kid.

As for the second part, i won't even dignify that with an answer

Campbell was very useful against the lower tier teams of the league, teams who used force and strength rather than movement and guile. You know, the likes of Stoke, Hull etc. I think overall, Squillachi is more useful to have than Sol, though i would have liked to keep the latter, even if he were used just for a bit part role.

Of course, he's a big guy afterall and i would've kept him even as 4th CB, he is by no means worse or on par with Djorou.

Squillachi is valued around 8m (Euros) btw.

You offered 2m for Schwarzer, Fulham wants 4m. Apparently they rate Vela in less than 4m :lol2:
