He can't want it that much.

As I recall, he could have joined Arsenal or Barca, but rejected Barca because he didn't think he would get to play.

let me ask though....

If it were Juve in Liverpool's position & merda in man chowder's position, & we were playing Roma this weekend with them in chelshit's position, what would you want?

Throw the game to avoid merda passing our total of league titles or play for CL?

Except we are Liverpool. We are 2 points shy of 4th, with two games left to play. We may not win and we probably won't gain 4th but I guarantee it won't be for a lack of trying.

He just can't keep his mouth shut, look at Cesc, we all know he's eventually going to go to Barca, but he respects the team he plays for and doesn't go blabbering about what a dream it is to play for Barca.

That lazy fuck that makes Ibrahimovic look like Davids with his work rate just can't keep his trap shut

MANCHESTER UNITED have made Luka Modric their No 1 summer transfer target.

The Red Devils are preparing a Ł25million bid for Tottenham's 24-year-old Croatian midfielder.

United boss Alex Ferguson sees Modric as a young Paul Scholes, an attacking midfielder and ball player who can make United tick.

Fergie was even full of praise for Modric in his programme notes ahead of their 3-1 home win over Spurs on Saturday.

Talking about the 5ft 8in player and other small talents in football he commented: "And I give you another wee man who'll be at Old Trafford this afternoon: Luka Modric, who is playing out of his skin at the moment."

Modric signed for Spurs from Dinamo Zagreb in 2008 after impressing for Croatia in the European Championships.

He signed a six-year contract after the clubs agreed a Ł16.5m fee.

Modric struggled early in his first season as he was played out of position by Juande Ramos as a deep-lying midfielder and also had knee trouble.

It was only when Harry Redknapp took over and pushed him further forward that his career at White Hart Lane took off.

His start to this season was curtailed by a broken leg in August but he returned in December and has been in great form during Spurs' push for a Champions League spot.

The move for Modric is bad news for Michael Carrick, who looks to have lost favour with Ferguson.

Carrick has only started one of the last five games after two poor performances against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Spurs boss Redknapp is a huge fan of Carrick and may insist on him being part of any Modric deal.

If Spurs manage to get a CL spot, I wish he stays another year in Tottenham. The team will gel more and Tottenham can probably get more for him after another year, if all goes well. But in the future, I'd love to see Modric under Fergie in Man Utd.

It'll have to be this season then, as Fergie will retire at the end of it.

Carrick is a very average player (poor man's Hoddle) and Redknapp would be mad to take him.

Modric possibility of leaving Spurs next season is close to 1%, and them qualifying for the CL would only result in that percentage being decreased to as low as zero.

I really hope Modric moves out of the EPL, him going to United is not good for us.
Actually come to think of it, it would be great for you guys since (as usual) you'll end up aiming for a CL qualification place so getting rid of one of Spurs, the team that will surely give you some hard time netting your objective, brightest talents would mean weakening your new league-place challenger :D

Up until week 34 of the league this season, we were in contention for the title, i still think if we hadn't been hit by an injury crisis at the end of the season, we would have had a real shot at the league. Though the same can be said about Chelsea tbh, even though their injuries aren't as bad, they're still pretty bad.
