Steven Pienaar was Evertons best player.

While Fellani played well, he was not that good. Citys midfield was non existent at times and I think anyone would of looked good against them.

I have to strongly disagree here. He was everywhere, he pressed and hassled opponents all over the pitch, he timed his tackles really well and to add to that he made dangerous runs in the box, passed the ball well and in general put in a commanding performance. He was really good against us last week too, and has frankly been one of Everton's best players this season along with Pienaar, Saha and Baines.

Fabregas coming back just made us look like a real team again. What a player, and what a season he is having. Easily the best season he has ever had yet. I don't think i am biased when i say he is the best player in the league this season.

What i like about him, is that he runs more than anyone else on the field, the runs he makes to get at the end of passes is a new dimension he has added to his game, other than the goal he scored, he got at the end of that Eduardo through ball.

About winning the league:

Well neither Chelsea nor United have looked particularly impressive this season. Despite our injuries, which have forced us to start reserve team players like Eastmond and Traore, we are doing really well judging the circumstances.

The next 6 games, we play Bolton(H), Aston Villa(A), Man Utd(H), Chelsea(A) and then Liverpool(H). If we are still in the title race by the end of this run of games, i think we will have a big chance of winning the league. We need injuries to be good to us too, if we get Niklas, Walcott, Clichy, Nasri and Denilson successfully back from injury we will have a big chance.

My biggest worry aside from injuries, is that we do not have a forward we can rely on for goals. Lately the goals have been coming from the free scoring midfield. Diaby, Fabregas, Denilson and even Ramsey have chipped in with quite a few goals. We can't rely on our midfield to score forever. We need Eduardo to get his scoring boots back and we need Niklas when he's back from injury to start scoring goals.

Berbatov is the spiritual successor to Zidane.

This thought just occurred to me, so what better way to document it by starting a thread on xtratime.org.

They're both tall and strong. They both have insane levels of close control. They both have really unique passing styles (outside of the boot etc). But most of all, they both just have this awesome distinctive style which sets them apart from other players.

There isn't a player in world football who plays at such a high level in a manner which is so ****ing cool, in my eyes.

This guy is probably the best centre forward in the world.

I told Seven, while Fellaini was in Standard, that the guy will one day become one of the best CMs in the world (he didn't play AMC or SS when I watched him in Standard and I thought he's a CM). Those two matches he played against Liverpool in the CL qualifications were enough to see the potential.
I'm still very far away from making a correct prediction, but I have hope for this boy.

I hope so, we can use some worldclass players in our NT.
With Vermaelen, Fellaini, Kompany, Van Buyten all playing in top leagues, the potential that Hazard has been showing, we should be able to have a good team in the not so far away future.

He was always pretty good at Ajax, but I never expected him to make such an impact at Arsenal so quickly. It's amazing how fast he's grown, even scoring quite a few goals right away aswell. What a great purchase for you guys.

So true. The Belgian members here were rather surprised when we bought him. I think his instant impact and sudden improvement took everybody by surprise.
