Aaron, how much would Pool have to pay compensation if they would sack Benitez midseason? I believe its behind the money right? Cause, well Hiddink is available after all.
Today they're without Essien, Drogba, Kalou, Mikel, Bosingwa and Deco and not only that they still have a world class starting XI, but they also have guys like Alex and Zhirkov on the bench.

Is that at all surprising, really? Any side with essentially unlimited funds can do that. And it doesn't hurt that they're playing a weak side like Sunderland.
Fuck Chelsea. Disgusting club. Much rather have Pool win the league than this nouvo riche piece of shit.
I thought Pool cant sack Benitez because of money in the first place. The guy thinks that they will sack Benitez after this season and hire Hiddink.
But from what i have heard Pool has serious money problems. let alone they risk not playing in CL next season considering the way things stand. In fact its more likely they will loose players rather than buy new quality players. Some players might start to prefer City or Tottenham over Pool for CL football alone.
And i just dont quite believe Hiddink would really want to coach there. They seem to be in a mess, and Hiddink will have much pressure cause Pool and Pool fans wants that damn epl title already.

Liverpool have 'only' had transfer budgets of ~£25 in recent years, and I fail to see how they will have more than that to spend if, as looks likely, they are not in the CL next season.
They are poorly run at Board level and have hefty debts that need to be serviced.
They are, as you say, in serious danger of dropping beind the other big three and back into the pack with teams like City, Spurs and Villa, which will only see them miss out on the CL more often.
Liverpool are going nowhere until they get new owners.
