How can i have a reasoned debate with you when all you do is throw in provocative comments that make no contribution to a football debate.

Why don't we start by discussing Arsenal.
How are we shit? We have been pretty impressive this season. With the exception of Fulham(who completely outplayed us) we have played better than most of our opponents. I'd agree with you if you said, that it was pathetic to lose a two goal lead to a relegation battler, i'd agree if you said we aren't ruthless enough, but "shit" is too much. Especially that we have been better than most European top clubs until now
I don't think we will last this way, and i don't give us much of a chance in winning the league(unless we're extremely lucky with injuries) simply due to the fact that we have no depth at all.
But based on this season's performance, it will be really hard for you to argue that we are shit.

A bunch of nancy-boys that can't defend for shit and have a rapist for a Striker can't be ruthless, it's not in the Positive Football lie. If you go two rows of flat 4 you see how shit teams like Arsenal really are.

Bunch of Nancy Boys- This is a crtique on the light-touch pass it around 90 times, flop to the ground in pain type of football that Arsenal play (except for Arshavin and Vermaelen, who I don't count *). It not gread football in that it's 80% attack 20% defend, for me the game is 50/50, that's why the pitch is split into halves. This is also about the positive football myth that Andy Gray and his buttmonkeys espouse every saturday and sunday, It is not good football, it's entertaining there is a big, big difference between the two. Basically Arsenal like the top 4 are built mainly for big games and cup competitions, where everybody throws caution to the wind anyway (like the 4-4 draw with liverpool, 8 players on the pitch were clearly playing awful - the defenders). If you throw two flat rows of four up against them and hit them on the counter you can destroy them.
* these two signing broke the Wegner style of young n cheap, Vermaelen less so, but they are arguably the two best after fabregas.

If you had actually said this from the start i would have agreed with you. Indeed we do throw caution to the wind with the way we play. But i have to say that i do not think that is the problem, afterall Barca throw caution to the wind too and its working wonders for them.

Diaby's own goal against United, Diaby's poor man marking for Alkamaar's goal, Song's silly conceded penalty against West Ham, Mannone's comical goalkeeping for West Ham's first goal. All mistakes committed by amatuer players that could have been avoided if we didn't have such mediocre players playing for us.
That is why i do not think its our style of play that is the problem, rather the personnel.

Those are the players Wenger has picked over the course of his career, he's been given free reign to build his teams, he picked these players for his style of play, I think both have to have about equal blame.
I think that Barca can play in the way that they do because they have people like Keita and Biscuits and Touré who I think play a slightly different role to Song etc. whilst also possess an imense back four, much better than arsenals, that bit is defo players, you can't really change the role of a back four, but barca dont throw caution to the wind, nobody is better than them, they need not have caution.

I blame Arsene for a lot of things. But i don't think he has been given the money to spend. I really think he would have spent a bit if he did have the money. I'm not talking Man United-like spending, but at least 20-25M transfer kitty, Arsene would have done wonders with that.
