I hate to tell you, but when it comes to english teams I disregard your opinion. no offence, I hope :D

@ Nick: Not really, at this point. Benayoun's been extremely good, and the midfield is developing in to a very different type of midfield to what it was last year. It's taken time, but if Lucas and Babel keep improving, we'll be quite good. Although that defence......
It is just my opinion mate. Chelsea and United will occupy the top 2 that is clear. Arsenal are looking a hell of alot better than Liverpool are, and if Arsenal stay injury free then they will have that 3rd spot. Also Manchester City will be there or there abouts.

Liverpool just doesn't look that good and are not impressive. Your opinion is the right one to have at this point no matter what a Pool fan says.

having Agger back will be huge, he's a good defender (not great) but he carries the ball out of defense so well, and he's faster than Skrtel or Carra. Can pass, dribble, and shoot, which considering mascherano is so defensive, we need a player who can carry the ball up from deep

Benitez will not drop Carragher, there would be riots.

So where do I fit?

I think Carragher is finished and Lucas is crap.

well, I don't know how much you've seen us play, but Carra, while not finished, definitely should not be starting, I agree with you on that.
Lucas on the other hand has done a good job so far, and while he's obviously nothing incredible at this point, he does his job well, and crucially, is clearly improving

I agree about Chelsea, but I'm unconvinced by manu. I think that this is clearly the weakest man u team in a long time, and I would expect us to take at least 4 points from them.

On arsenal, I have to disagree, they look great when on form against the likes of Blackburn, but when the inevitable injuries return, they'll have a hard time. Even when they're all fit though, I don't think that they're really any better than a fully fit Liverpool team.
and yes, I expect man city to be very very close, if not actually in the top four

I watch Liverpool now and then.

Lucas probably isn't crap, but I don't think he is good enough to be playing regularly with what is supposedly one of the best sides in Europe.

He looks worse than usual just now because he and Mascherano don't compliment each other's style of play.

true, he definitely shouldn't be starting every game, and, he does not work well with Mascherano. He actually plays very well with Gerrard in midfield, but of course, that doesn't happen too often. But once Aquilani is playing, Lucas will definitely be back-up.

They outplayed United at Old Trafford, this season. Manchester United are not looking the best but they get results and are putting points on the board. You will finish 4th or 5th thats my prediction. I agree with Red, Lucas is an average player.

it's true that they out-played manu, but manu were horrendous in that game. And while I agree that manu will rack up points as always, I think that they will struggle against Chelsea, Liverpool, and arsenal. Hopefully man city as well :D

RE Gerrard, unfortunately, Gerrard only does well that far upfield when the midfield behind him and the fullbacks contribute and help with the buildup. Lucas and Masch were so defensive, and neither fullback was pushing up much, Riera and Kuyt were both unable to keep the ball, so Gerrard never had the chance to do anything.
