Blackburn Rovers signed Nikola Kalinic from my local club Hajduk.
He's 21, he's a striker and Blackburn bought him for 7m eur.
Birmingham City signed Jay O'Shea from my local club Galway United.
He's 21, he's a striker and Birmingham bought him for 75k eur.

75k vs 7m. Let's see who'll do better in the Premiership. :D

Is Altidore still moving to Hull, Andy?

Aberdeen beat Hull yesterday and apparently their forwards were absolutely dreadful.

But what were Hull's forwards like?
Aberdeen's forwards are fine.

Lee Miller leading the line, as he should do for Scotland.

Nigerian international Sone Aluko to his left and Darren Mackie to his right (in a Dirk Kuyt hardworking striker/winger sort of way).

It's Aberdeens defence that is the problem.

HULL, England (AP) — United States striker Jozy Altidore completed his loan move to Hull on Monday after being granted a British work permit.
The 19-year-old Altidore will play for the Premier League team on a season-long loan from Spanish club Villarreal. Hull has an option to buy him permanently at the end of the season.

Hull begins its second season in the Premier League against Chelsea on Saturday.

Before then, Altidore is set to play Wednesday for the U.S. in a World Cup qualifier at Mexico.

"We wish him well for the game in Mexico City and look forward to his return as a Hull City player at the end of the week," Hull said in a statement.

Hopefully he will stay healthy and yeah, I saw part of that Hull - Aberdeen game. Their strikers looked pretty poor, so Jozy should step right in there and start.

Typical number 9.

He's young and he scores a lot but one can't say much about a player without any international experience. Imo, he's making the move to England 1-2 years too early.
He may be. Hajduk is pretty decent at developing youngsters from what I've seen.

Yeah ,a lot of players came through our youth school.
Boksic, Tudor, Jarni (these 3 guys even made it to Juventus), Srna, Bilic, Stimac, Asanovic, Pletikosa and many more that were before our time and you probably never heard of.

Unfortunately for Altidore, I suspect Hull will get relegated this season.

On the plus side, that would mean that Hull wouldn't sign him permanently.
