Ya, talked about it in the Ligue thread, Mbia is a very good DM, he's versatile(can be used as CB as well), he's fast, he's a strong tackler and he can run all day long. I like the player very much actually, and i think he'll be very good for them. Lucho is the jackpot though, he's going to be a very good addition for them next year.

Marseille are going to employ a Barca style 4-3-3 next season. They already have a very strong midfield trio. Would imagine, that Mbia would play as the DM, with Cheyrou(who was probably their best player last season) and Lucho as the CM's. Upfront, they have Brandao, flanked probably by Niang(If he stays) and Ben Arfa.

They can even afford to sell Lorik Cana now.

Would say that they're favorites for the league next season. They even signed Diawara, a strong CB from Bordeaux, was one of the better defenders in the Ligue last season.

Spot on,ive always rated gonzalez & i always thought he'd make the step to a big CL club but marseille is perfect for him actually.Where do you think Niang might be off to?

I guess they wanted some kickass striker. Jo might be decent but Adebayor is better.

Adebayor

Robinho-Tevez-Elano

are they going to play like that or?
probably be

Robinho-------Adebayor----------Tevez

--------Ireland-----------------Elano
---------------De Jong----------------

with SWP vying for a place with Tevez

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes is continuing his pursuit of Emmanuel Adebayor and has reiterated he is in the market for defensive reinforcements.

It is reported that Arsenal striker Adebayor is currently mulling over a move to Eastlands after having a work permit granted ahead of the reported £25million switch.

Chelsea captain John Terry is also a target of City, although the Blues have stressed that the England centre-back is not for sale at any price.

"We do need new players," Hughes told the Gulf News during a promotional visit to Abu Dhabi. "We are still in discussions (over Adebayor) and the talks will continue.
Problems

"We have got attacking-minded players but we are looking to bring other players to the club before the transfer window closes.

"We are also looking to strengthen the defence. Every transfer deal is difficult and has different problems.

"There are areas which we need to address but we are happy with our progress."

Meanwhile, City midfielder Stephen Ireland has revelled in City's new summer additions, expressing his joy at playing alongside the likes of Roque Santa Cruz, Gareth Barry, Carlos Tevez and Stuart Taylor.

Dream

He said on Sky Sports News: "I have been here for eight years now and every year it is getting bigger and better.

"To be able to play with players like this is practically a dream come true. I never saw myself playing with players like this. It is amazing.

"I am really looking forward to the season. It will be really interesting to see the starting line-up for the first game of the season.

"It is great to have a squad like this."

Do you guys think if Mourinho was at City could he win the EPL this season with the players who are there now?

It owuld be a stretch for Hughes to come in the top 5 but it is funny how just placing a top coach at a team can change everything.
