Liverpool looked horrible right after that "penalty" was given. They were great before that, stringing passes together and making life hard for the mancs. After that they everyone just lost his concentration (especially torres). Gerrard the hack has been choking for a while now.

I only saw a half and a bit of Chelsea and they were creating many chances but weren't finishing. Many easy ones were not taken which always effects the team. Anyway its the first game after a tough mid week game, won't read much into it but a win would've been perfect for them.
I reckon if they can regain a bit of their form they will belt the shit out of Tottenham and give the mancs a good run.

Next week Arsenal play Birmingham at St Andrews which is interesting and Chelsea play Villa (mid week they play pompey at fratton park).

True about the United - Liverpool game. Liverpool really showed the world why they aren't going to get 4th place this season. IMO City has been much better than them against the big teams and poses a bigger threat than Pool.

St Andrews has always been tough for us, even when Birmingham were relegation battlers, which they are not now. Birmingham have been very good with the limited squad that they have, McLeish has done a great job in organizing his team and making life difficult for visiting opponents, both United and Chelsea couldn't win at St Andrews. What makes it even more difficult is that Vermaelen who has possibly been second best only to Fabregas this season for us, is suspended for the game. Gallas is out injured and Djourou is still a long term absentee.

I just hope Silvestre isn't picked for this game as he makes Grygera look like Franco Baresi at his prime. Song and Campbell should play together again, but even those two are probably going to be stretched by Chucho.

This is Gerrard's worst season in ever.
It is. Don't know if he just gave up on Liverpool this year and is just saving his energy for the WC or if its a genuine dip. If its the latter then England have a problem.

Liverpool are just beating themselves (something we're particularly good at).

Haven't seen much of Silvestre this season, but I have 35yr olds from the sunday league who would do better than Grygera. Only thing is that Birmingham aren't playing well.

Haha, see. ;)

They are going to have a big say in where the title goes imo. Our game against them and Chelsea's game, seeing that they are in WHL are going to be absolutely vital.

I've seen most of your matches and while Grygera is having easily his worst season in a Juve shirt(possibly ever) i still think he is country miles better than the atrocious Silvestre. Thats how bad that peanut head is.

Believe me, i would pay for Grygera if that meant no more Silvestre.

Yeah, well I just looked at Man Cities fixtures and though it is easier, it's not a piece of cake as well. It'd be great if the battle went on till the end and the 4th spot decided on the last matchday in a direct encounter.

Man City still have to play United and Arsenal themselves, plus they still have Aston Villa which is bound to be tough one too. But i think they can beat United and Villa at home. They're more than capable of getting points of us too.

It was. but Masch kept a hold of him until Valencia reached the box(barely), Valencia only fell down when he reached the box. Which is completely his right, the penalty decision was a correct one imo.

Ya, but Masch was stupid enough to keep his hands around him until they reached the edge of the box. Valencia had every right to fall down as Masch was holding on to him. I'd blame Masch for his stupidity, and Agger even more for paving the way for Valencia to just get into the box.

Don't know if it's already discussed here but don't you think the Valencia-Mascherano incident was outside the box?
Thats what I've been looking for everywhere. No English website even consider it as a talking point. I don't think it was a penalty, once they hit the box, masch threw his hands in the air.

Stupid yes, guilty, I dont think so.
