I made the earlier post after watching the first 15 minutes only:D

I just got done with the Liverpool-Spurs match.Excellent match.Probably the best of the EPL weekend.I kinda feel sorry for Spurs though.I think they deserved to win the match.Liverpool were on the backfoot for large periods of the 2nd half, and a draw probably doesnt do justice to either team.Gareth Bale is such a freak. If he keeps on developing at this rate,i think he can develop into one the best left sided players in the world.Ashley Cole will probably get his pants wet when McClaren names the England squad for the 2010 finals.

PS.Does any one else think that Reina is stupid?I dont question the guy's skill.I think he's very talented. He wont let the ball in through his legs,or mishandle it etc,but sometimes he makes such stupid decisions when he decides to come out of the box that its laughable.I end up getting reminded of the way Barthez used to keep goal for Manchester United.

Ten Cate to leave Ajax for Chelsea
Ajax manager set to work under Grant at Stamford Bridge

Ajax have announced an agreement with Chelsea over the release of coach Henk ten Cate, which will enable him to work as an assistant to Avram Grant alongside Steve Clarke at Stamford Bridge.
"Last week, Ten Cate informed the club he wanted us to negotiate with Chelsea after he had been approached personally," read an Ajax statement. "Ajax discussed it internally and it is now down to Henk ten Cate to discuss his own contract with Chelsea." The Dutch club also confirmed that their coach would leave immediately.

Chelsea set for Ten Cate deal

Chelsea confirm they have reached an agreement with Ajax to release Henk Ten Cate, paving the way for the Dutchman to become assistant first team coach at Stamford Bridge.

According to the club's official website, the 52-year-old - who quit as Ajax boss on Monday - is expected to put pen to paper with the Premier League side within the next 24 hours.

The appointment will continue Chelsea's policy of employing two assistants, and he will join Steve Clarke in working under new manager Avram Grant.

Ten Cate worked in a similar role under compatriot Frank Rijkaard at Barcelona, and the move has provoked furious speculation that a Dutch revolution is imminent in west London.

Rijkaard, along with Ten Cate and current Holland boss Marco van Basten, have all been linked to the Chelsea hot seat, despite Grant's relatively recent appointment to the job.

Grant is still looking for a fitness coach, a goalkeeping coach and a scout after Jose Mourinho's back room staff left with the Portuguese last month.

Official: Chelsea Complete Henk Ten Cate Capture

Henk Ten Cate has finally completed his much anticipated, much speculated move to Chelsea.

Chelsea had successfully managed to agree terms with Ajax for Ten Cate's release, and have now completed the paperwork to bring the Dutchman to Stamford Bridge.

Said a statement released by the club: "Chelsea can confirm that Henk ten Cate has joined as assistant first-team coach."

He will be an assistant to Avram Grant, as will Steve Clarke, who has also been offered a new deal to make him feel wanted.

It is understood that the objective is to bring to the coaching team an understanding of the European game, and in particular, the Champions League.

Ten Cate was in charge of much of the tactical work at Barcelona, including during their 2005-06 Champions League winning season, and that has not been lost on the Blues, particularly with Roman Abramovich having made no secret of his desire to win the big European prize.

His career as a head coach fails to inspire too much confidence - he has coached over ten clubs in various capacities.

However, his work behind the scenes at Barcelona was nothing short of phenomenal, and Frank Rijkaard has faced questions over tactics and squad management ever since the departure of his assistant last summer.

Manchester United Bid For Jovetic

Manchester United are reported to have made a £7million bid for Partizan Belgrade's coveted teenager, Stevan Jovetic.

Premier League champions Manchester United are said to be on the verge of signing Partizan Belgrade's teenage sensation Stevan Jovetic for £7million.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly already made the sizeable bid for the 17-year-old Montenegro international.

It is a substantial bid for a teenager but Jovetic is a boy who is widely regarded as being a bit special, and Ferguson is trying to steal a march on rival would-be bidders by attempting to tie up an early deal.

Striker Jovetic made his senior international debut for Montenegro in a friendly against Hungary last season.

He has played 54 games for Partizan and scored 18 goals, including six this season.

I asked you mostly because of his price. That´s a lot of money for a really young player. He must be a wonderkid then? What position does he play?

Man Utd has a good eye for future prospects.

About a week ago I had a dream at night. I was at Old Trafford watching Manchester United play a Premiership match. I could also hear the TV commentator. Suddenly the TV commentator mentioned how good it was for C. Ronaldo that he had arrived in Arsenal and suddenly the commentator mentioned...

...David Beckam had returned. :touched:

Premier League- Team News

Everton v Liverpool - 12.45pm

Tim Cahill is back in first-team contention and his return could not have come at a better time for David Moyes, whose side face their cross-town rivals. Fernando Torres is an injury doubt for the visitors, who have captain Steven Gerrard coming off two England games in four days.

Arsenal v Bolton Wanderers

Arsene Wenger is without Robin van Persie, who injured his knee on international duty with the Netherlands. Eduardo da Silva will start in his stead. Manuel Almunia has been preferred to Jens Lehmann in goal. Archie Knox is praying Nicolas Anelka passes a fitness test.

Middlesbrough v Chelsea

Boro hope to have Mido and Tuncay Sanli back, but Gareth Southgate is still without five first-teamers. Will Avram Grant pick Didier Drogba after his outburst against Chelsea this week? He is also missing John Terry, Ashley Cole, Michael Essien and Michael Ballack.

Blackburn Rovers v Reading

Club captain Ryan Nelsen hopes to make his return from injury as Rovers bid to maintain their good form. Robbie Savage and Roque Santa Cruz are doubtful. Reading will press Ibrahima Sonko into action at the back; he should replace Ivar Ingimarsson.

Fulham v Derby County

The classic early season relegation six-pointer. Fulham are still missing Brian McBride and Jimmy Bullard and could be unchanged. Derby have Craig Fagan back from suspension, Darren Moore likely to start at the back, and Giles Barnes in contention for his first start.

Manchester City v Birmingham City

Sven-Goran Eriksson will ensure playmaker Elano is not suffering from jet lag after international duty but the Brazilian should play. Michael Johnson is fit again after a groin strain. Centre-back Johan Djourou is a doubt for the visitors.

Wigan Athletic v Portsmouth

Late decisions will be made over the fitness of Jason Koumas and Anoine Sibierski, but Luis Valencia is not expected to play after coming back late from international duty. Sol Campbell should be fit to skipper the visitors, whose only other doubt is front man Nwankwo Kanu.

Aston Villa v Manchester United - 5.15pm

Villa could field the same team for the third match in a row with Craig Gardner expected to shrug off a slight knock. Danny Simpson will play at right-back for United if Wes Brown fails to recover, while Edwin van der Sar hopes to return in goal ahead of Tomasz Kuszczak. Saha, Carrick, Hargreaves, Silvestre, Foster and Park are all still missing.

i dont know what Wenger has going in his mind but its worrying me very much..i dont mind Almunia and Flamini playing ahead of Gilberto and Lehmann at the moment..but the next game against Liverpool..Gilberto and Jens experience is vital..and especially Almunia i dont want him anywhere near anfield..i hope he doesnt even get to the stands..cos i know he'll manage to fuck that up too.
