Er ddint mean to post that twice.

anyway, it was stupid, CL or not. Anderson was doing well, and taking him off gave Chelsea the initiative again. And what the fuck can you do with fatty O'Shea waddling around like a lost soul in midfield?

United In Bust-Up With Chelsea Ground Staff

Several of Manchester United's substitutes became embroiled in a tussle with Chelsea ground staff while warming down after their 2-1 defeat to the Blues...

The match was settled by Michael Ballack, who headed his side into the lead, then after a Ricardo Carvalho blunder allowed Wayne Rooney to equalise, it was Ballack who scored decisively with less than five minutes of normal time remaining, scoring a penalty after Michael Carrick was penalised for handball.

The result blows the title race wide open, and evidently emotions were running high even after the final whistle, as club captain Gary Neville, Patrice Evra, Paul Scholes, Gerard Pique and John O'Shea were involved in a post-match scuffle with the Chelsea ground staff.

It is alleged that the argument started when the players, in the process of a warm-down, were asked to move by the ground staff but refused. What was said from there on is not quite clear, but things quickly turned into a wrestling match, and the groups required separating by stewards.

After being separated, the peace did not last long. The spat resurfaced soon after, though there was no more physical altercation.

What consequence this will have for the ground staff and the Red Devils remains to be seen, as it is not quite clear who provoked whom and who will be held accountable for the incident.

It was nothing to do with the defeat so unlucky.

But i dont know the full details of what happened so..

Anyway, Vidic's tooth went throught his lip and he also has concussion. Rooney is out with a hip/groin injury, not good.

Was funny seeing Drogba trying to argue with Ballack over that free kick today and Ballack was just completely ignoring him.

You sure?Because if it isnt defeat that made them react that way, then its sheer idiocy that did.

Atleast reacting after a defeat is somewhat understandable.

Manu was gifted with rooney goal and chelsea the same with the pk BUT at the end chelsea deserved to win since they played better.
if Manu lost the EPL title IMO it will be cause of the 2 defeats in Man. city games in which Manu should have got at least 4 points from them.now lets see what will happen in the coming games.
can goal difference give Manu the advantage in the end ??

They have to blame Carrick. Carrick was so lack of experienced. I don't see the point why he let his hand contact with the ball. But it's definitely a penalty.

Some can argue they lost because of luck, OK. So how many times they win because of luck ?

i dont think Rooney is fit, had England reached the Euros he would've refused playing imo.
This is a guy that doesn't stop running for 90 minutes and this is his second successive game where he just seemed tired and hurt. And it was the same area that they speculated he had the injury in ( the thigh)

Vidic i believe, rooney no way its just mind games by Fergie with some overusing of his players.

Tottenham Facing Canadian Takeover?

Tottenham Hotspur are rumoured to be interesting Canadian investors as another Premier League club becomes the subject of a multi-million pound takeover.

According to reports in the News of the World, the Toronto based company Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) visited London recently with a view to launching a £250 million takeover of the club.

MLSE already owns the Maple Leafs ice hockey team and is keen to jump on the Premier League bandwagon, with Spurs rumoured to be their primary target.

The paper quotes an MLSE “source” as saying, “MLSE are seriously considering a move into English soccer, “The Canadians have experience of extensively developing the Maple Leafs ice hockey team and could bring some of this expertise to the Premier League”.

Whether Tottenham would welcome such a move is unclear. Chairman Daniel Levy has stated already that transfer funds would be available to manager Juande Ramos this summer and with yesterday’s signing of Luka Modric confirmed, this certainly seems the case.

Further signings are likely at White Hart Lane as they aim to push their way up the league in the hope of attaining Champions League football.

However an area where Spurs might find a takeover interesting is when it comes to income from ground receipts, somewhere they do lose out in comparison to rivals as White Hart Lane’s capacity is currently only 36,000.

Rather ominously this is something that MLSE have already noted, “they recognise that Tottenham is a well established club that would benefit from new investment and the development of a new stadium”.

This fact alone could leave Spurs vulnerable to a takeover approach although the paper does also confess that Spurs have insisted no official talks have yet taken place with MLSE over any potential takeover.

Apparently, that fight after the weeked game started because one of the Chelsea ground workers made a racist comment to Patrice Evra.

By the way.
