Muntari had other options
Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie has claimed that Sulley Ali Muntari turned down a host of big clubs to join the South Coast boys. The Ghanaian international signed for Pompey from Udinese in a club record £7m deal after months of speculation. “He’s had loads of offers and last week he had Roma all over him,” insisted Storrie. “But he’s stayed strong and resolute. He’s been following our matches for a year, and every time we spoke to him he said he was a Portsmouth player.” The midfielder was also linked with possible moves to Fiorentina and Manchester United.

Who would ever want to play for Pompey besides the English? They really have nothing going for them. Muntari, you're an idiot.

Muntari, cos he won't get sent off so much in England as he did in Italy. :p

Certainly seems a strnge choie to me, presumably he is either being paid more at Portsmouth or wouldn't have played much for Roma....or he is an idiot.

No, but I do think the English style of play is overrated and England as a footballing nation as a whole. Two of the three sides that reached the semifinals aren't even English anyway..
Because having key players like Gerrard, Carragher, Terry and Lampard makes them Brazilian, right?
