i didnt see much of the game but i saw a bit and he was moving well.He needs some time though to get used to the team and the new league.
thnx sateeh. this is what bbc says:

"And it was Pompey that emerged from half-time looking the more threatening, with Mendes and Nico Kranjcar pulling the strings in midfield.

The young Croat was slowly getting into the game and twice he cracked long-range efforts at goal, only for them to narrowly miss the target."

yeah saw one of those shots, pretty amazing. He could really do well imo, once he gets used to the team.
he has loads of talent. his main problem is the mental approach and perhaps the talent. if well managed croatia and portsmouth could have a jewel on their hands in a year or two.

European paper round-up: United in for Torres

Manchester United are in for Atletico Madrid's Spain striker Fernando Torres and have paid a £5 million down payment, according to the Star.

United - keen to get their oar in so that Chelsea do not gazump them again - have whacked a £5m down payment on 22-year-old forward Torres with a view to paying a further £21m on his transfer in the summer. (The Star)

niko kranjcar had his debut for portsmouth vs tottenham. tough game for a debut. i read he did good and played the whole 90 minutes. can anyone who saw the game tell me a little bit more in detail how he played?

did ok, had some attempts from long range comming close, but nothing spectacular.

yeah Cech got injured in the first 5 mins, but i dont think its anything serious.

Cudincini on the other hand got knocked in the air and fell on the ground very heavily. I think its quite serious from the way it was.

Terry was in goal for about a minute :D
