Cazorla also out for several months.
Sanchez out, Koscielny out, Arteta out, Cocquelin out, Gibbs out, Rosicky (ok, not starter) out, Walcott out, Wellbeck out and Wilshere out.
Doubt they will manage a 0-2 victory on the CL next week.
I actually had high hopes that we'd win in Greece. But without Sanchez, Cazorla, Coquelin, Walcott, Welbeck and Wilshere, I don't think we stand much of a chance anymore. To be honest though, we put ourselves in this situation, losing to Zagreb and then Olympiakos at home :sergio: Hopefully a half empty Emirates stadium on a Thursday night playing against Dnipro will wake the board up to the fact that changes are needed.

You'll need to pry the keys to the stadium out of Wenger's cold dead hands.

I wouldn't put it that way, but ya you're right.
Why does that man have such a strong hold over the board? He hasn't accomplished anything noteworthy in years and it's not as if he's particularly likeable. In fact he's an even bigger cunt than Mourinho.

I strongly disagree with the Mourinho part, how could you even compare?

To answer the bolded question, it's because what you have to understand is that the board is an even bigger problem than Wenger is. In the first 5-6 years of the new stadium, they did not want to invest money in the squad, and wanted our finances to be directed mostly towards repayment of our debt. They actually gave Wenger a minimum goal of qualifying for the CL 3 times out of 5, in the first 5 seasons. So obviously the lack of ambition starts from the board, and since we are turning in lots of revenue, and Wenger is ok with not spending that much money, they're actually happy, because their goals are primarily financial not sporting. The worst thing to happen to our club is the board, they are the real problem here. That's why even if Wenger does leave, I doubt they'll actually invest in a top manager, that will demand funds to be able to compete.

Good point. I still think Wenger could do better with the means at his disposal.

As for why I compare him to Mourinho.. Wenger pretends to be a class act. He's not. He whines about calls that go against Arsenal all the time, he argues with other managers and can't admit his own mistakes. Mourinho is no class act, but at least he doesn't pretend. I guess it's Wenger's hypocrisy that makes me dislike him so much.

Certainly he could in the past two-three years, I would actually regard the past couple of years as a much bigger failure than the period betwen 2006-2011, primarily because he actually had money to spend, but didn't address glaring weaknesses we had. It shows that he's not willing to change at all, and for that reason, we will not move forward unless significant change is made.

As for the second part: Whatever you think of Wenger, a list of the things Mourinho did make him the obvious biggest asshole in football:

- Poking Tito in the eye.
- Labeling a fellow manager a "voyeur" and a "specialist in failure" (even if you think it's funny or true, it is absolutely classless to say something like that in public about a fellow manager)
- The Eva Carneiro incident.

Actually in odds like that (winning by 2 goals margin) and missing key players are huge motivational factor for a team. And Arsenal is the kind of teams to pull such surprises.

If I had to bet on this I would bet on them to qualify .
