IMO, England is just as much as a racist country as Italy is, if not more.
Possibly, but things have developed to the point in England where people (even if they want to) at least accept they can't get away with monkey chants/general racist abuse in public.

Online you see that the same old views are still held, though.

Italy hasn't yet got to the point of (almost) eliminating monkey chants in public/stadiums.*

*I still question whether monkey chants are done due to racism rather than simply wishing to try and distract an opponent, but I'm not really wanting to re-open that debate.

More black and Asian people are in the stadiums in England, more in society, so you won't see as much in groups of people. Racism is everywhere, because it's tied to ignore. Add in the troll nature of online 'anonymity' and you will find lots of suddenly brave and controversial people.

I don't care what anyone says. Racism has never left the English game. I go to games and hear all the time "you fucking black this!" ........"go back to your corner shop that!" To players of a different race who even make a miss placed pass. So when I hear stories of its a thing of the past in the English game, I totally ignore it cos its still around the grounds, always has been. Just fallen on deaf ears by the media.

The suarez money was entirely wasted. carrol, downing, henderson, adams, lallana, lambert, markovic, ... I think they are absolutely the worst team on the market.

Apart from the Suarez buy, they havent made any good coups since Benitez was their coach.
