As a left back, Shaw is better, and a Centre back, Evans is just as good. The others are poor though, agreed.
Yeah, although Rojo isn't a real left back, at least not his best strengths. As a DLC he should do really well, but all young defenders will make mistakes.

Correct, United will need an Old head or 2 in their, as they are all young defenders.

They dont add to that defense, they could struggle, again.

Even Hangalaand would have helped them.

You would think this Rojo is a Maldini / Baresi mix, with how United fans are talking about him.
what about NO?
I didn't said that he is a WC defender, with great ball playing or aerials. These characteristics are decent. In addition, his pace makes me very good for this position. That's all. He is the perfect player FOR what Van Gaal wants.

'United Fans' i said. Was not talking about what you said about him.

I work in Manchester, I hear what they bang on about all day.

Corrected.

Benteke also plays for Aston Villa, but he is really good so playing at Aston Villa isn't saying all about the qualities of a player.
Basically. Thanks for expanding on my post.
Well technically he's 29 and let's not forget Barzagli played for Palermo and Wolfsburg first :p

I'd love Vlaar here btw. He's probably got about 5 years of great defending left in him.

He might turn into a Barzagli and have a golden end to his career, but it's very dangerous to judge players based on golden tournament showings. If he has a strong season at Villa then big clubs will look.
