This is why I miss the old days of football. You had teams who worked hard with only a 14man squad if that. Today's football is all about money, with reserve players good enough to win the league over again.Just doesnt feel the same anymore. I would honestly love to see the Toffees win the league.

It would take a miracle for a team like everton to win the league. The PL big four will only get richer and definitely at a much faster pace than Everton will ever grow. Everton's only chance is if a new billionaire buys the clubs and does another City in which case they can challenge for the title in 3 years time.

Its like hoping that Udinese wins Serie A

As great and Romantic as that sounds mate. Even back then, the team that usualy spent the monst money won the league, just on a smaller scale.

Juve & Milan didn't become the biggest Italian clubs by pure love of the fans, or the quality of player that were born in Turin & Milan....it was player & team & facilities investment from the start.

Everton & Liverpool used to break the transfer record every season.

Our nickname used to the 'The Mersey Millionaires'.
