Pellegrini is by far one of the most overrated coaches around IMO. Plus for having the highest salary team in sports in general, they seriously need more quality then what they are paying for (most of them being so overpaid kinda hampers their professionality too prolly, ala Inter buying stars under Moratti days). Besides Aguero, Yaya (biggiest laziest mercenary amongst them), Silva and Zabaleta, what are they paying for? Kompany regurarly makes mistakes and is supposed to be top class defender and captain. Rest are pretty much just role players really. In a system that its il thought out and utilized.
Meh, his whole squad is underperfoming, Kompany, Zabaleta, Fernandinho, Yaya, Nasri, Navas are shadows of themselves from the previous seasons, even Silva is hot and cold from match to match

Yeah, but not just this season, but those I mentionned are those who usually step up for them. Kompany I dont count amongst them them anymore because he has been error prone way before this season too.

Soriano and Txixi have alot to answer for, the amount of money they've spent and on average players is laughable.

25 million for Bony
25 million for Negredo
16 million for Navas
42 million for Mangala
16 million for Fernando
25 million for Jovetic

None of the above have lived up to expectation.

No doubt that he's been quite poor at man city, but theres no denying the phenomenal job he did at Villareal, or the job he did at Malaga.
Who would you guys hire at Man City next year?
@Fred @Pablo
They need an established coach; despite his poor season with Dortmund, I still think Klopp would be an excellent choice. Simeone would be a very good choice for them, I rate Guardiola very highly and think he'd be perfect for them if they could prise him away.

Incidentally, that's also the three choaches in the world least likely to move next season. I want some realistic, original choices :p

No denying it, but IMO that his level (ambitious upper midtable teams), because I found him very questionale in Real and now in City too.

    Not many established coaches that are immediately available i guess. They could perhaps take a chance on someone like Koeman or De Boer, but both are risks that are not guaranteed to do any better than Pellegrini.
