Zach has been going mental on him for years now, because of some red card tackle where he broke a guy's ankle 6 years ago. He's literally been waging a war to make the entire forum hate Witsel for several years.

I don't particularly like Witsel, he's not a top player, never fulfilled the promise he had at Benfica... but he's a solid rotation option for us, provides much better cover than the likes of Hernanes and Sturaru. Asamoah, Lemina, Witsel is pretty good injury cover for Khedira-Marchisio-Pjanic.

Ideally we'd also get a more attack-oriented mid like James, Eriksen, or Isco... but I don't see it happening at this point.

Cuadrado-Witsel would be a decent finish to the mercato. I'd give it an 8/10 or 9/10...

Witsel will be very useful it is a good signing for anything under 20m id say the mercato with him and Cuad would be a solid 8. James, Isco or eriksen would make it the best mercato ever after nedved, buffon and thuram.

7.5 for me. Blazing start, but key position has a slightly underwhelming signing. I think our mid is a bit light for the CL, hopefully the wing play makes up for it.
